Games that are no more than 5 seconds each? Fun? Together? What? Impossible to describe even more impossible to resist.

User Rating: 9.5 | Wario Ware, Inc: Minigame Mania GBA
Warioware Inc. is a game that is quite hard to describe without playing it. Essentially, it is a game of minigames, and by Mini, I mean 3 to 5 seconds to play each game and a one word direction tells you how to complete your task. It seems trivial, and rather stupid at first, but I assure you it is unlike anything you have ever played and it is a great game that is fun beyond compare.

Gameplay: There are so many varieties of games here that I can't list them all. Some are the most random things in the world (Watermelons bouncing off some random guy like in Arkanoid? or stomping on little arrows and letters in sequence?) Yea, it is that weird and random. Some levels are based on old Nintendo Games, like Ballon Boy, or Metroid, or Mario Bros. Some are based on Memory, some are sports, others are literally categorized as "weird".
Some things are simple like shooting a basketball, or shooting down aliens. Others involve plain button mashing.

Each game gets a little hint before it starts. For instance, "Pick" then a nose appears with a finger... You figure it out. Sometimes they aren't helpful sometimes they are. But after playing more than once, you will know what to do.

There are "boss" levels per say at the end of each level. Some are full blown space shooters a la Life Force, others are a mini Punch-Out game or Baseball from old NES games. Needless to say each game has responsive controls and easy to play mechanics and it offers a wide variety of games.

Graphics: They are ok. Crisp clean colors, some rather detailed graphics, particularly one mini game which looks like it is a quilt, or another that is a crayon world. Other times it is two tone with literally stick figures. I must say though, the cutscenes from the Ninja Sisters levels are pretty good for the GBA. It fits with the levels sometimes, but others, it is just a lazy programmer I chalk it up to.

Sound: Old Nintendo Themes are brought back here if only for seconds. The sound effects are spot on for real world examples, other times they are made up comical sounds, but good nonetheless. However there isn't anything really standout here, but that isn't a huge deal for a handheld game.

Value: Value is what this game is about, besides fun. There are so many mini games it is probably impossible to play them all with just one play through. Once you unlock them all, you can play each game individually for practice or to get a high score, or to unlock new things. Once you unlock enough things, you will have a game to fly a paper airplane, skate boards, Dr. Wario, Sheriff, and more. I put a lot of time into this game, and my friends just bug me to play Dr. Wario on it as well. I'd say it got the 29.99 worth I paid for it.

Tilt: All I have to say is you need to experience the game to understand it completely in all of its intricate details and quirky humor. Great game(s), period.
