I can try all I want to play a different class but I always end up as a rogue in the end...It's a force that can't be fought.

Honestly 30-40 hours in you will ditch the class packages. They are cool but limited. The game has an incredible mix and match system. Thankfully once you leave the island you can respec whenever so long as you have the skill books.

Don't pigeonhole yourself to a class some base things you will need to make the experience better. Don't focus on class, focus on some base stats you need to have and some key abilities.

Adrenaline for one, gives you a boost in ap (lets you do more moves, and having 2 points in scoundrel should just be mandatory.)

You need mobility, Phoenix Dive, Tactical, retreat, and cloak and dagger in scoundrel. Focus on stats that improve How often your turn comes, like Initiative and movement. Also consider having one undead in the party, and make them the rogue. Basically high thievery you won't need lock picks which is REALLY useful since the best stuff is usually found locked.

@Janpieterzun: Very true. Started as Polymorpher but switched to Knight.

Jean-Luc, any thoughts on dual wielding vs two handed knight or fighter, assuming no preset points for weapons?i like dual wield, but don’t like daggers.
