I like, and don't like fighting games. It's fun in my opinion to beat other players with the most underpowered characters *cough cough Dan cough cough*, but fighting games also get repetitive really fast. Sure you may come across a player who mops the floor with you or an insanely broken boss (Shao Kahn from MK9... stupid guy just spams low hammers against me throughout the fight) but other than those it just becomes same old same old.

These people aren't talking about Guilty Gear, SFV, Blazblue, N+B, etc. This seems to be only geared towards 3D Games. But whatever, 3D is 1/2 of the Fighting Genres, so I respect Anyone who likes and plays 3D Fighters. I just wish they got some some Street Fighter Vets & Good Pros in here. I'm looking at Daigo, Tokido, Punk, and Smug!!

For me I could never get into 3D fighting games (Tried to get into them many times, but Never Could), but have VERY MUCH enjoyed 2D fighting games. It very fun, despite being Competative (Imo). Fighting games aren't about story or continuing a mission, as much as honing Your skills. The Journey to mastering a character may not be the most fun, but it's very rewarding when You start to understand the timing, the match-ups and things like that. It's very rewarding when You get to the point where You can use Low-Tier characters well enough to beat some of the more Mid-High Tier Characters or sometimes even High-Tier Characters.

I Love Street Fighter. Many people hate on SFV, but I like it a lot, despite being in the Minority. When I say I like, I mean the Core Gameplay, not the way it was launched, the lack of features, etc. I'm very happy how it's finally transitioning from it's Vanilla to Adding more features. I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to Dragon Ball FighterZ, so SFV & DBFZ will be my 2 Fighting Games I'll be playing in 2018. I liked Ultra Street Fighter 4 before SFV, but that was my starting point. I used to think Fighting Games were pointless, since I played games purely for a Journey and RPG elements. So before, ALL I cared about was RPG's like TW3 and Skyrim. I'm glad I was able to get into the FGC and start to appreciate different Genres of Games!

For me fighting games are good because you completly control your character... It is all up to you.. However learning period is very boring. Once you learn the game then they become very enjoyable especialy tekken. They may be way less competitive compared to Mobas, strategy games, CS:GO but fighting games also challenging and competitve compared to many other games.

For me, the best thing about fighting games is that, currently, there is no law that says I have to play them. Never liked them. Probably never will. I can see why others do enjoy them though. They look challenging and likely require a lot of practice to get the moves and the timing down. I just suck like an industrial vacuum at them so I don't even bother with them anymore.

These days? I honestly have no idea. It’s one of those genres that has so little room left to evolve when compared to others (that I can see).

@rawkstar007: One thing that I want for ALL future fighting games is this: I want them to implement an In-Game Currency (Like SFV Fight Money), for doing Fighting Game Tasks, Weekly Challenges, etc. It would make it so much better, since You'd be able to Literally NOT have to Spend Your Real Life Money on Stages, Costumes, Characters, etc. That's one Evolution I'd like to Spread from SFV to All Future Fighting Games, especially with how people have Always not liked Paying Extra for Season Passes, Characters, New Editions, etc.
