In the original SNES game you could not jump at all (except fall from the cliff in the beginning outside of the village.. and travel fast with cannons).

But some footage here looks almost like a platformer game. Kind of different from what i expected.

The first SNES game was more about combat and fighting through dungeons. Not so much about platforms or puzzles. The new one seems more a little bit like a 3D Zelda game in the dungeons?

The review seem a bit overly critical and negative. For me, i do not care so much about occasional glitches. And Mana for me was not so much about the fights either. More about the story and the incredible feel and magic in the world. The worldbuilding, the magic of mana. The awesome music. But i have not played Trials of Mana, Legend of Mana or Dawn of Mana..

@simonthekid7: To me, it looks like some of the magic is still there. and just the music goes a long way. Secret of mana had incredivble music, or at least i though so as a young gamer. And if Visions of mana have some of the same music, then it could go a long way for me to get some of the same feeling playing it as the feeling i got when playing Secret of Mana years ago. Like the song "Into the thick of it" for example, which feels so adventurous.

For me, Secret of Mana was one of the first action rpg s i ever played. and later similar games did not have the same novelty perhaps. But even so, i still think there is a special magic with Secret of Mana. If Visions of Mana does not have the same magic Secret of Mana did, then it is a shame.
