It's-a me, KBABZ! Thanks Danny for reading my comment on the air, it was so cool! Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see the new set!

As for my username, it's pronounced like shish kebabs. Because they're delicious!

As far as Game of the Year deliberations are concerned I will say I like how Giant Bomb handles their deliberations, by being open and transparent about it, by recording their deliberations as a podcast, and having individual Game of the Year lists on top of that - so you have what the site writers have chosen as their GotY, and what the writers in particular liked, so if there's a writer whose tastes mesh better with yours, you can get an idea what games that came out this past year would be really good (especially if you can't afford to play everything).

X-com 2! A distant second would be Street Fighter V.

Oh man a Counter-Strike section on the show! It is sad that the snake died, but it kind of messed up the tone of the David Bowie tribute.

Like Peter, I find it hard to make Top 5's or Top 10's. Mostly because I consider it pretty pointless. I can tell you my favourite band that I'm listening to right now or my favourite game in the past year but trying to rank them is something that is always changing & therefore pretty arbitrary.

Many "Top X of All Time" lists are subject to the recency effect. For example Interstellar was a great film & probably found its place on a lot of those kinds of lists but if I look at Top 100 lists of more experienced critics, most of the movies on the list will have been made before I was born. There lies the difference between people who the "of all time" part seriously & just people who quite like to watch movies.

I have no problem with Top 10 lists at the end of every year but they just shouldn't be taken too seriously.

@runningman5ksmak: x-com 2 comes out only on pc as well, and they talked about it. it might be because it's an RTS and nobody is excited about RTS in the GS staff

@Alurit: Xcom 2 is not an RTS. It's not in real time. It's turn-based tactical strategy.

@bceagles182: didn't say xcom was RTS, I was talking about homeworld (as my second it), but forgot to change pronouns, grammatical error
