Senseg applications are huge: imagine typing on your Smartphone or tablet and actually feeling the keys. It makes a huge difference when typing. It helps you know that you are actually typing and not missing keys. Not to even mention games..the applications are huge there. You can feel all the gamepad's buttons..and that doesn't include in game uses.
hey, let's all misdirect the public consumer's attention to these tablets. it's sure to turn in some profit while we are busy planning our next profit moves.
ASUS Transformer Prime TF201-C1-CG 10.1-Inch 64GB Tablet is a tablet I'm intersted in. HDMI and use any controller with it dock or undock. I have 3 computers and no laptop or Tablet yet, because laptops have been so far behind on power and too expensive.
im feeling the last tablet they shown, i have a gaming rig, but having a tablet so i can play when im not at home would be gr8, only if it can sync up to steam/origin etc etc and play the games with the save files etc etc, then im sold...
I like Razer. I actually just got the Razer Nostromo PC controller recently and I'm loving it. It feels great. I WILL say however that their stuff is EXPENSIVE! But you do get quality for the price. We'll see how their excursions into making computers and tablets go. I think the features of the Razer Blade are great but it needs to be accepted into the wide computer community to really be successful.
there is no future for tablet gaming.. why? because all of tablet games is too short and the controls of tablet gaming is so annoying and lazy. for me its just a waste money if you are a hardcore gamer. tablet gaming is just a waste of time no future thumbs down!.
@xxYetterxx, Well who knows, it's possible the handles are just an extension sort of accessory to the tablet. I would like to think that they are at least removable--hopefully we'll learn more about how that works in the coming months.
I'm really impressed by the Senseg technology. I heard that kind of stuff was in development a few years ago, I had no idea it had come that far. I'm not sure about the applications yet (we're still far from complete immersion in an alternate environment, and this goes far beyond gaming) but it sure as hell is exciting. The rest ... well it's just tablets ...
hhm i dont even got a notebook cause i want max performance for my money and you can only get it and will get it on a desktop in the future still best money/performance rate and on my oppinion this will stay for a long time so
I don't see tablet gaming going anywhere much but once they get the tech into phones is when it will get interesting. Just think you can plug your galaxy s3 into your tv's hdmi port and then use a bluetooth controller to play games where ever you might be would be awesome and then you have the time killer games for when you jusat want something for 5 mins. Tablets are this strange in between market they are to big to be a phone and need all the extra bits to works as a proper useful computer.
oh man this video got me super exited about tablet gaming, i never thought it could develop so freakin fast! razer wins this though, a tablet with PC specs and proper controllers? WIN very soon we'll be playing a game in our living room and later picking up the save from the cloud and continue playing on the train on our way to work... welcome to the future boys!
The future of tablet gaming certainly looks interesting to say the least. I think it would be cool if i could plug in a dual shock 3 to my iPad 2, seeing as they both use bluetooth it only seems natural. That Epad Transformer Prime looks pretty sweet as well, and it's cheaper than an iPad and more powerful too.
Tablet gaming?! you attach a couple of buttons to a tablet and call it a revolution in PC gaming?! the only reason PC gamers are called PC gamers is that they prefer playing with mouse and keyboard rather than some .... seriously what the hell were they thinking when they were designing Fiona's buttons?! "OUR JOYSTICK WILL BE SO F*CKING DIFFERENT FROM THE ONES GAMERS ARE USED TO!"?!
Honestly I can see future consoles being just a tablet, because it allows you to play wherever you want, and we already have ways to hook tablets up to tvs so you can see it in a bigger display. Netflix and all that is still easily accessible as well. Idk, after seeing the last few tablets on this segment, I am excited about the futur of gaming. Consoles really can be a thing of the past, and the portability of these is just so ideal I hope Sony or MS really brings something different to the plate like this. These tablets look far from gimmicky, they look practical. Damn, I'm so excited now about future consoles and gaming as a whole. Having never owned a pc that could play good games, I really hope the gaming tablet is reasonably priced. The witcher 2 and battlefield 3 are just a few.
that last device seemed the coolest. i dig that its a full blown pc in a tablet form factor, but i guess it goes hand in hand with microsoft streamlining all their OS' into one with windows 8. also, the controls on the side remind me of the wii u tablet, but this is very cool. i'm a little surprised wii u wasn't in here, although it's not a standalone tablet, it's doing the opposite of what these tablets are. these are trying to bring full blown console & pc gaming to tablets, but the wii u is bringing the tablet to console gaming. i guess there is no new news about it from CES to share though. ah well..
Who the **** wants to game on a little baby screen? That display might be big enough if you're 3 years old and 2 feet tall, but other than that . . . that ain't gonna cut it.
I Think the razor tablet is great, all I think it need to allow as much button combination as possible, which is pretty much require to have for MMOs but for RTS I SAY add more buttons and do not let me use the screen. anyways for FPS, standard RPGs, and sandboxes I can see the Razor tablet working just fine. sorry for those who disagree. I know lots of gamers are very protective on games today and fear the change is for the worse.
sean, you forgot one thing, price of the fiona? just to see how much it is, so that if i see someone with it i know there a mummies boy (if their up to 25) or a stuck up SOB if their over
when hes talking about the tegra, "is a possessor and a system on a chip" (something like that) right if its in a tablet, in modern times, and its a possessor what else can it be? an electro-storage device? "it has multiple cores in the chip" YOU JUST SAID ITS A CHIP WE KNOW, DAMN YOU STUPID SALES PEOPLE, sorry for the rage, i just hate sales people that take you for dumb arses
