TopGear UK is a great show. I used to not get cars, and why people like them so much, before I watched that show. Now, I'd say I'm a bit of a petrol head. It's also cool that the Stig is a bit like a race car driver version of Batman.
I don't much like the US show though. It's just to much like the UK version. It'd be nice if it had more of it's own personality, if you know what I mean.
Grid 2 should be much better than the first one. The first one had too many narrow tracks, stupid AI, boring driving mechanics, too much of the same tracks over and over and over and over, etc...
@devastator1991 Operative word being "should". Instead, after you play it - you'll feel like someone kicked your favorite toy down the street, then returned it to you (dents, scratches, and all) and told you it was a new, updated version of same toy.
Cant believe so few people use the cockpit view. That's what it looks like to drive a real car, I find it really difficult to drive accurately with any other view. Plus, it's just more immersive that way.
Glad to know early that Grid 2 lacks them. That one point pretty much ruins the game for me.
@niq511 @TheLamaKnows it's just how a real car is driven, so it comes rather naturally for me to use cockpit view. In games like Forza with accurate interiors, it seems a waste to never see them. For drifting, it's usually easier to be outside of the car because you lack that feel of grip breaking that you would have in real life- so I can see it there. Otherwise, I vastly prefer to see my driver's seat view
wow my comment wasnt offensive and yet it has been removed.....The person that removed it should have enough decency about them to message me why it was deleted.
The documentary "Senna" really was one of the best racing docs out there and Ayrton was and still is one the best drivers to date. Perfect combination of balls and talent.
@AverageGameJoe I installed TRD 3 yesterday and I astonished because it supports full HD and also Xbox 360 controller. Yes they should consider making a sequel to this one
Grid wasn't perfect but I consider it to be the best racing game on PC. It's the game me and my cousin compare all other race games to when deciding how good they are. I think I'll pass on Grid 2 because it looks much more arcadey.
No racing line in this game (only that little blip in the lower left corner) which isn't bad. I'm surprised at how good this looks. I last played it a year ago or so and I thought it looked primitive at the time.
I won't miss cockpit view. Only Shift 1 & 2 did it right--it's looks herky-jerky with ugly looking arms and poor screen space organization in Grid 1 and most other racing games.
BTW, Grid 2 will have no Ferraris, Lamborghinis, or Porsches along with very few real world tracks.
My opinion on lack of cockpit view in Grid 2: The 5-6% of players who use cockpit view are generally the ones who keep playing game well after the 94-95% percent have quit. I always use cockpit view in racing games and I am still playing Forza 4 after over a year. By not including cockpit view, Codemasters is alienating its core players.
@LogicSavanT I've put an insane amount of hours into Grid and Dirt and I never used cockpit view. Always used hood cam. My screen is kinda small so it really doesnt feel right. I wish people would stop going on about it.
@LogicSavanT hopefully they still have the hood camera. I used to use cockpit all the time until I bought a racing wheel. Now I need every advantage I can get like the better visibility of a hood camera.
Will still miss the cockpit view as I do use it from time to time.
Hold on, what Colin McRae 3 you guys were talking about??? Like the old ones? Or the new Dirt? Because the new Dirt does not deserve Colin's name on it...besides the first one
