@Mad_Krips I believe the game is supposed to be set directly after super metroid, so the end of super metroid is the intro to other m.

OMG...did samus just talk...first nintendo character to talk!!! shocking.. i am getting this game.

I wonder if it will be as punishingly difficult as Ninja Gaiden.

I wonder if you'll have to switch from the third to first person view to battle certain enemies, or will that be left up to the player? Will one be more convenient than the other at certain times?

I'm definitely not a team ninja fan; I liked the Metroid Prime series but I don't know about this.

A metroid game thats worth playing

can't wait for this one :D I recently beated the first 3 metroids, soon I'll start Fusion and then I'll try to get the trilogy for Wii :) the trailer looks great :D

As much as i liked the first person metroids im so glad they made this look more similar to the older ones. Especially love how they include a scene from Super Metroid on the Snes, which is by far my favorite Metroid, man i cant wait. I got a Wii as a gift and i have yet to really play it.

When I heard Team Ninja was developing a Metroid game i had a lot of reservations. Those concerns seem completely unfounded because this looks incredible. I love the way you can apparently switch from 3rd to 1st person

What if Other M was actually a different way of saying Mother. Because if you put the M on the beginning of other you get Mother.

damn it... well ok action and stuff, but the first person part looks really lame... i just wanted a great new samus... but apperantly not...

This just might very well be the next game I buy for the Wii. I haven't been this interested in a Wii game since Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

One of the few reasons I want a Wii, action looks great and goes back to the old school before Prime series and mixes some First-Person in as well as putting in some 'takedown' type moves, love it. But now after watching this video tho, why did I just see the end of Super Metroid? Really interested in knowing the story behind this now.

Wow im suprised it actually looks really good! I was a huge fan of the Prime series but i wasnt ever to fond of the sidscroller ones but this looks great!

Don't forget it's still in development; graphics could be tightened up by adding an extra layer or two. But, for me, graphics be damned. This looks like a LOT of fun, and I hope it'll be the bridge between the 2D games which I loved, and the 3D ones that I thought had promise but weren't as fast paced as the 2D versions.

Forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question; I have not been following this game, but is this a remake of Super Metroid for the SNES? I only ask 'cause that Metroid at the end of the clip has Samus like what happened at the end of Super Metroid. Then Mother Brain shoots an' kills the Metroid, but not after making Samus a super bad-ass. Takes me back..... That part always brought a tear to my eye. :^(
