Freakin sweet!! Now lets just see what the next Zelda is gonna be like, and I might have a pretty good reason to get a Wii again! But, ya gotta admit, "Other M" is a pretty lame subtitle. But, regardless it should be epic!
What they're trying to do with the wii remote could be pretty ground breaking stuff... definately a fresh way to play. This should be tops, dont think I've played a bad metroid yet!
Anyone else notice how much faster pace the game is in general? Samus moves like an olympic sprinter and enemies seem to be endless and everywhere. Hopefully that won't ruin the exploring part of the game, but the combat and action looks better than anything in the series yet.
Did anybody notice that these days there are a lot of games which have a logo with a planet with light at the horizon and the light splitting words or wordgroups in two? I saw it on Mass Effect and on at least two other games. OT: Looks great. Ninty is on their way up...
This game looks amazing!!! If the gameplay is as good as the trailer i just saw, then Mass Effect 2 & God of War III have company 4 game of the year!!! I cant wait 2 play this game now!!! Keep doin wut u do Nintendo.
Wow...very impressive. I love how there is 1st and 3rd person views. I remember in Metroid: Fusion how you could run really fast with that certain ability, so I'm glad they brought it to this one =D
@himsa09, Metroid is only getting better and that is saying something for a series that started in the 8-bit era. And if any game series should "stop", as you put it, it should be something as unimaginative as Guitar Hero or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (we all know that Modern Warfare 3 is on its way, just a matter of time).
looking good so far, I dont think ive ever played a bad metriod game in all my years of gaming and from the looks of it this one wont be an exception to the rule :)
@himsa09 why stop it exactly? :S its a brilliant series that hasnt over stretched its formula even after about 3 decades of existance ... so why does it need to stop?:S
The game loooks really good. I like Samus's new hairstyle, she looks awesome, and so does the new gameplay style. It's nice to see that Nintendo is trying something new. I love it.
WOW. I must admit, I'm impressed. Whatever previous comments I made about this game, I take them back :). Wii owners ... YOU lucky bastards. If this game's environments are as huge and intricately connected as those of SuperMetroid then I'll seriously consider buying a Wii just for this game (and for Metroid Prime Trilogy of course).
"Mother, time to Dieee.. oops i mean GO" rated B for Babies. Also team Ninja Sux so bad they ruined the old Ninja Gaiden and now they're gonna ruin another nes classic.
I dont know if this is going to be as good as the previos metroid prime games. I love the first person perspective it was done so well. But a 2d/3d perspective is scaring me. Will it be good as it looks?
omg it looks fantastic! I always hearted the old 2D metroids, but I played MP3 for wii and it had totally lost the feeling, if this works like old castlevania like metroids It would be amazing
Oh wow I thought this was going to be another FPS like the Prime series that I wouldn't bother with cause I hate playing FPS with a controller, but 2.5D with first person elements? I'm in.
i like the looks of that. super metroid was one of my favorite games as a kid. i didn't really like the move to fps in prime, but it wasn't bad, this looks like it could be fun...if i only had a wii, maybe i'll work on that little problem.
The Wii has nothing of value on it for me and frankly is a gimmick. However, this is one of the only games worth owning on the Wii from the looks of it. Samus is beautiful in this.
I always thought Metroid was boring, but because Team Ninja is making the Other M, this is EXACTLY WHAT I WANT NINTENDO GAMES TO BE LIKE! This is how the big N could possibly get outta that whole kids-only demographic
