Jess McDonell’s Top 5 Games of 2015

She put it perfectly, Fallout 4 is really a game that I hate to love. It has so many problems but I already have 92 hours of gameplay without even scratching the main storyline, how can you hate a game like this? Bethesda may have stopped in time but they haven't lost their touch.

But Jess, what's your opinion of The Witcher 3?

My list for 2015 is

1. The Witcher 3 (no contest here, game and developer are amazing)

2. Fallout 4 (Endless exploration and stories in such an unique environment)

3. Rainbow Six Siege ( What shooters are meant to be, no run and gun, you have to think and use teamwork.)

4. Rise of the tomb raider (These games have been amazing, loving this series.)

5. Rocket league (Pure fun)

I finished Dreamfall - The longest journey. Loved it. Now I want to finish the Longest Journey (the original) because starting Dreamfall Chapters.

Jess never disappoints, great list. Adding Dreamfall to my Steam wish list right now.

Well i don't agree with your top 5 :p.. but Jess, you Rock girl ! Heroes of Might and Magic IIII is my all time absolute favorite video game!

Great Gaming year! I spent too much money on games this year and learned alot about being the day1 purchase guy and next year ill be more tight with my walllet.(Liesssss)

I think it was a very good year for gaming - everyone should find something interesting to play.

I wouldve put Bloodborne but the frame pacing problem made me really start to get pissed especially since i played dark souls 2 on pc butter smooth going back and playing bloodborne it felt like a stuttering mess either they cant fix it and its gonna be the same for DS3 and it's apart of the new game engine which would suck or the devs are lazy and didnt try or gave up. Destiny had a similiar problem and they fixed it.

Soma was ok and the story was intriguing, but as a game it was like A Machine for Pigs. The Dark Descent was much better. Look forward to playing Fallout 4, but first I'd like to finish 1 and 2.

Agree with her on fallout 4 and until dawn, I never played the other three.

Bought "Dreamfall Chapters" to play together with my daughter (we loved "The longest journey"), and it delivers on every level.

Hearing so much praise for "Tales from the Borderlands", i'll soon have to take a closer look at that. Slightly reluctant as i've never played the "Borderlands" games, and worry a bit if that's needed to get the most out of "Tales".

Still holding back on "Fallout 4", i'm just not convinced.

when I first started playing fallout 4 I was really into it. I have so many complaints about it now that I can 't really even play anymore. It's not typical bethesda boredom either. All of the complaints add to it not having a real goal in the game. There is no level cap, no unique weapons. Hardly any quest lines, its almost nothing but repeatable quests.. There is no sense of completion. Nothing to work for. Not to mention the bugs and glitches (I killed piper more than once for knocking me into the water..wearing power armor.....in the middle of a lake......) which I can get used to.. it is a bethesda game after all. Oh and the graphics are pretty crappy for 2015... which I can also overlook. When you add all of these things together though, its a horrible way to leave a game.

The best feature for me was the building aspect, which was really cool..........but it felt half finished as well. I hope bethesda doesn't repeat these mistakes for their next game.

She gets top marks for Heroes 3 complete edition in the backround there. Easily top 5 best turn based games ever made.

Cool info about Dreamfall Chapters. I played Dreamfall The Longest Journey, liked the game but the cliff hanger left me desperate for more, until my interest kinda died out. When I saw D.C I put it on my Steam wishlist.

But can you really give an episodic game that isn't finished yet (NOT ALL CHAPTERS ARE RELEASED) a #2 award? I mean, shouldn't you wait for the full series/season to arrive?

Unfortunately I have not played any games on her list.

I want to play Until Dawn but I'm gonna be practical for a change and wait for a really low price. I'm also a bit worried that playing it alone won't be nearly as much fun as what I've seen in videos.
