The latest game in the long running Halo franchise has made its gameplay debut at Xbox’s July Games Showcase. We got 8 full minutes of gameplay along with a brand new trailer and plenty of interviews with developer 343.

In this video we compile all the details we know about the game into one super video for your convenience. We breakdown all the story details, such as the game’s main villain, War Chief Escharum, who is the leader of the Banished. We dive into how the game is structured and what exactly the upgrade tab on the menu is for. And of course we tally up all the new and returning weapons you’ll get your hands on.

What exactly was exciting about the gameplay for Halo Infinite? It didn't get me excited for a new Halo game. This is one of the main problems that I have with MS because they love to brag about a lot of amazing gameplay, but their whole show was mostly mediocre. MS needs to learn how to make people excited for their games again. It is the same old story with them always.

I have Gamepass for three years (which unfortunately is churning out mostly garbage including MS’s horrid as of late 1st party games) so I’ll just play it under that, but word to the wise. 343 is a crap fest right now with horrid management and pissed off contract workers and the game itself is a bland nothing. Last Thursday showed that and the internet pretty much agrees. Reddit had multiple posts (now deleted) about how utterly messed up the entire dev house is now along with very poor MS over sight. If you have gamepass, easy. (Although still tempted to save the HD space). If you have to go out and buy this thing, you have been warned. For fact checks just google 343 poor management and off you go. They are making Neil Druckmann look like Mother Teresa. Notice I said they, it’s baaaaaad.

This game looks more next gen than any other game I’ve seen yet. Out of both the game streams Halo Infinite looks the best.

I don’t understand why there’s so much hate. Oh wait yes I do its Microsoft Xbox and Halo we’re talking about not a playstation game.

The improve combat/enemy AI and the open world have me super excited. I hope there’s boss battles. Imagine going on a mission and at the end you fight some Brute captain. He starts off in a Wraith but you blow that up then you have to take him down one on one.

I really hope they do boss battles well in this game.

Yup you know it. The gaming media have a lot to answer for too. Gamespot has been a lot better of late but most of the gaming sites are biased toward sony playstation.

This game is going to be something special. Mark my words.

@gamerbum: I hope so. I personally didn't like any of the PS exclusives this last gen, and have decided to switch to Xbox over the higher powered specs and Avowed. Haven't played a Halo game since 2, but I like the open world concept and the game looks fun. I'm really just hoping on cross platform campaign multiplayer. I wanna be able to play on the Series X with my brother on his PC.

@gamerbum: it’s not bias when Sony has released the best 1st party games this generation (and half step). Instead of whining about it, maybe Microsoft can actually up the ante instead of just talk and develop low cost denominator games for a subscription. They can start with cleaning upper mananagement at 343 and their own house while they are at it. Otherwise Xsex is about to be another shit show without the games.

@doa2169: I don't intend to hand over any additional money. It'll just appear in the Game Pass library I'm already paying a monthly for.

That was basically the entire Xbox game event: "Here's a bunch of games we'll add to your library over the next couple years."

@mogan: You shouldn’t pay monthly. Buy three years of Xbox live on sale (roughly 120) and convert it to ultimate gamepass for a dollar. Three years of ultimate gamepass for 3.34 a month. That is if they ever release anything worth even that these days.

@doa2169: I mean, my position is that this game is launching on Game Pass and so I wont need to spend $600 to play it. I don't think that needs defending, since it's what the publisher of the game/purveyor of Game Pass said is going to happen.

And if you have an issue with a moderator, please PM the mod team about it. Just keep in mind that they can see your moderation history.
