It's funny, even though we don't think Chief is running ever, he still moves faster than the Marines that are sprinting lol. So if Chief walks or jogs faster than a sprinting Marine, picture how fast Chief must be going if he's sprinting now. Just sayin. Anyway Halo is the greatest series of all-time and I've been there every step to kill Covenant and see Cortana's boobs grow. Long live Halo :D
@slicedbread117 Master Chief sprinting...I wonder how old he is now. He was about 40 wasn't he during the events of Halo 1? Maybe not too much older because of the cryo storage after the events of Halo 3, but still, for a guy nearing his fifties, he moves fast.
Man the fanboys are out in force in this comments section. He isn't hating on Halo. Saying that there were some weird graphical and control issues even for the time is not hating. It's just pointing out facts. You don't have to think a game (or series) is absolutely perfect ya know.
@diabolik_023 Maybe they're not gonna release any halo games for the PC because people like you don't show any respect and becuase of that you hurt microsoft's feelings.
@Danny_KickAzz @diabolik_023 I thought you knew that Microsoft doesn't have a conscience so diabolic_023 didn't hurt feelings that don't exist..Profit is the only feeling Microsoft has.
After playing Halo 4, it makes me wish that 343 had taken over much earlier. Bungie really sux and made so little improvements that the series became stale. Finally, Halo has the realistic look it so deserves.
@Vodoo I agree. I actually didn't like Halo 2 after playing through twice and taking it back to the store the next day. That Arbiter mess was boring also. I'm on the PC now, but I wouldn't mind playing Halo 4 as it seems the most interesting since Halo 1.
Wow that was some...really terrible humor. Never borrow from Dane Cook Game Spot.
As for the video. This is why I want a Halo 2 HD. Just to fill in that final aesthetic gap now. Then everything will be visually consistent. Not that I don't love Halo 2 as is.
@Deadly_Nemesis Yeah I have so many good memories of halo 2. I played a local game the other day and I think if they put it to hd, it would be a hit because it is just awesome .
HEY GUYS, LOOK AT THIS GAME THAT WAS RELEASED BACK IN 2001, NOW LOOK AT THIS GAME THAT WAS RELEASED IN 2012.... OH MAH FUCKING GAWWWWWWWD DEM GAPGHSRDFHYFh
to people wondering, yes there will definitely be at least 2 more games. unlike the first halo which was planned to simply be a standalone release which they expanded into a trilogy, this game was made to be the first in a trilogy. so expect a halo 5 and 6 and maybe a 7.
Iam sorry but the guy behind this video is a obvious halo hater, he barely says anything good about the series, first he dises halo wars, followed by the warthog, then he goes as far as to say cheif's suit looks crappy? and apprently to his logic because theres no idication that cheif is wearing a helmet in the HUD its bad... and then he puts it down as bad thing thing when you actually can see it in halo 3 and he his trying to bad mouth halo 2 for no running...seriously
@DrTheme he never badmouthed anything. and the chief's suit looks crappy compared to the tech we have these days. the warthog does look weird now but nobody noticed then because the tech was the best at the time. he just compares graphics which was the point of the whole video in the first place. stop being such a dolt
This just in: there's going to be a Halo 5! Source: my own sick mind. But don't get so excited, just wait until Xbox 720 or whatever implements their new people detection big brother system and you have to pay more for each person in the room. So awesomely disgusting!
Definitely felt like I was flying into the middle of the death star during the last level. But in all honesty, the game wasn't quite the Halo I had all been hoping for. Sure it's still superior to many other games, but there are moments in other Halo games like the epic Halo Theme Mjoinder Mix composed by O'Donnel and Salvatori when you were fighting the scarab in the city in Halo 2, or the feeling of driving for your life on a self destructing planet for Halo 3. Overall though, 343 did a great job on making their first standalone halo game without bungie.
@spartanbow1 Yes the game is good but it wasn't the Halo game i was expecting after Halo reach, linear level design (for me the campaign felt less epic (but no bad) that in other Halo games i need more open field battles with vehicles and less corridors walking and the part where you must drive a pelican sucks (Halo reach falcon level was way cooler)),music that doesn't sounds like a Halo game,Pop up elements in the enviroments, bad textures in some elements,BAD A.I if you compare it to the A.I of Halo reach (elites and hunters easy to kill?what the $%), but even with all that is a good game cause at it's core it's the same game we fans love (with some gameplay and graphical improvements of course) so after all it's a good first step for 343 in the Halo universe.
@snake8304 @spartanbow1 Personally I felt the story was more pic than any previous Halo with perhaps the exception of CE. The whole Cortana thing gave depth that I haven't felt in any other Halo. Graphically imo 4 is FAR superior to 3 or Reach (I thought 3 just looked like an upscaled Halo 2 with slightly better lighting when it came out). I have to say, referring 4's pelican level to Reach's falcon level isn't very fair. Reach also had a pelican level that was much the same as 4's. I think it would be better to compare the falcon level to 4's broadsword level. Personally I had much more fun in the broadsword as it reminded me of Star Wars and the who level had some urgency to it whereas the falcon level from Reach just felt like you were waiting around for wave after wave of enemies. As for open battles, I agree there weren't enough and they weren't big enough but I'm sure 343 will improve on that with the next 2 games.
The water in H4 is absolute garbage compared to the Water in H3. in fact, pretty much anything that isnt mechanical looks like shit in Halo4. Dirty, grass, plants, tree's, and the water. its all crap.
In halo3 the water was rendered with polygons, it was a flowing dynamic thing that moved around objects and reacted to things floating in it, the water in halo4 is the same as the water in halo2, a flat animated surface with use of some basic crappy shaders.
@Gojomez Halo 4 is one the most visually appealing games I've played all gen, and excuse me if Iam just a freak here but who the hell plays a first person shooter, halo of all games, and pays attention to dirt and grass? someone needs to find something to do I think
@DrTheme @Gojomez A horticulturist next accompanied next to Master Chief would,*SPOLIER ALERT* of course you never see them cause they're too busy analyzing soil samples
odst sholdn't have been in, the graphics were just halo 3. but people never seem to acknowledge that reach was the next main game in the series after 3. it wasn't a spinoff
I loved the ending of Halo 3, driving the Warthog over a volcanic(ish) planet with everything crumbling down. And at the end that jump, wow, most amazing driving scene ever.
The storyline was great IMO, not reaching the Amazing level yet. The thing between Chief and Cortana was pretty damn sad. I'm definitely looking forward to further Halo Games, for the Storyline
A shame M$ won't port Halo 4 to the PC. PC's, these days, are far superior to the 360 and this game would be perfect for their new Windows 8 gameshop ... IF they allowed MA+ rated games. Sigh ....
Its actually funny when I think that my Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 is the oldest tech in my house.
@Scarshi I totaly agree. Halo 4 looks like a gem and all that could be amplified on PC. I'm not saying graphics come before gameplay, but since we're on the topic...
@xsonicchaos @Scarshi PC would be nice for sure, considering what we see that the graphics card in the xbox which is what now, 10 years old? Still fairly impressive, imagine what a high end PC could do!
I definitely have to agree that the scenery has been improved a lot. When I was in a jungle or woodland area i was amazed how great it looked. There was so much detail like moss on trees and rocks and like little light things that looked like fire flies… I think. But the most noticeable thing to me about the game was it's detail in graphics and scenery. Very well done. Furthermore I was impressed on the close to realistic emotions and facial expressions of the characters. Well done.
