A Sony presumption about Microsoft XBox One and Kinect does not really mean anything.

They have been humping this Kinect issue long enough.

Also, tell me why in every video you see about how Microsoft is forcing a charging $100 more for XBox One with a Kinect, you see a PS4 with it's camera. It costs $100 as well, yes.

The XB1 sans kinect would leave a console that has lost the thing its hardware was optimised for, in an attempt to focus on something that it was not designed to do as a priority (gaming). The hardware inside the XB1 has been tailored to do a Kinect controlled multimedia TV box extremely well to try and capture the TV living room market. Gaming performance has suffered as a result of that design focus.

Removing kinect breaks the thing it was designed to do and all you're left with is the lame games machine. MS are wedded to kinect because it goes to the core of the original flawed design vision. Cut the head off and it dies.

LOL by 2016 everyone will already have a ps4 (which will likely be way cheaper and come bundled w/ games by then), a steam box, or just a powerful PC....kinect or not the XONE is doomed...sitting next to the dreamcast and even virtual boy XD

Sucks about the Dying Light delay, was looking forward to that game. can't give 2 shits about ESO or CoD though.

If Kinect was a free pack-in accessory and not $100+ bloat ware, people would care less because they could just shelve it and only connect it to the console if/when a game or piece of software is released that gives people a reason to connect it.

Knowing the device is in millions of homes gives developers incentive to innovate. Microsoft needs to lead by example and stop putting out crapware like Kinect Sports Rivals.

Harmonix wouldn't be happy to know their Disney Fantasia game would have its potential audience sliced by a huge percentage as result of a Kinect-less Xbox One.

Will only get an Xbox One if the kinect is unbundled.

I have 100% interest of getting an Xbox One but I have an absolut 0% of interest of getting the Kinect 2.0. In simple mathematics, it gives me a 50% chances of getting it all, true. But the thing is: I'm confident about Microsoft listening to us gamers and sell the Xbox One without Kinect 2.0. Plus, who actually uses it more than a couple of times? I used the Kinect for Xbox 360 a couple of times at my friends house and never wanted to use again or even adquire the contraption.

With all this in mind, I'm safe to state that I prefer keep playing on PC, Xbox 360, 3DS and Wii U in the mean time.

Hands down PS4 is still gonna kick ass. I played Pokemon Ruby on the original Gameboy Advance, so when the two Pokemon remakes come out, I'm going to buy Alpha Saphire. Does anybody think the 3DS is going to get a Pokemon Z? (Legendary being Zygard)

I really do not care at all for kinect. That being said, I am a single-player gamer so I can't understand why I would want to buy an Xbone over a PS4. (Titanfall is exclusively a multi-player experience.) The PS4 just has better exclusives: Killzone, Infamous, Uncharted, God of War, The Last of Us,The Last Guardian, and other upcoming games which I look forward to.

Because that's what it's all about. The GAMES. I don't care about watching tv while playing a game. I don't care about using skype on my console. I don't care about using my voice to navigate the menus. I really, really, REALLY don't care.

PS4 wins because they didn't make stupid mistakes. Microsoft knew what they were getting themselves into when they announced the features that no one wanted . Force stuff down your install bases throats and you might as well just quit the console market .

Nothing will get Microsoft back to top spot until they drop the price. Bringing out a Xbox One without Kinect is stupid . The Xbox One was made solely around Kinect , without Kinect you don't have the features that are the selling point .

I love my Xbox 360 but after Microsoft lying and coming back trying to fix things , just showed me how much they value their customers .

Nintendo's next console should be a handheld/home console hybrid system (not like the Wii U). You should be able to take the actual system out of the house and play at home also. Perhaps this could be done with a rebooted version of the Wii U. I'd be happy with that.

This is why you dont argue with people that dont have a xb1. They simply dont know the experience. People come to my house and say lets see what this thing do. I just say xbox and the screen lights up. They instantly smile. Your just plain crazy if you think the snap feature is a joke. Tv part...how many times were you waiting for a friend to play and log off to watch tv and just missed them. The game is always on this the reason for the policy they scrapped. The ps4 so powerful whats it lifting other than 1080. I never knew the res on one 360 game i played. Why would i care now.

Drop the price of Xbox One? YES.

Remove Kinect from the base package? NO

I understand that everyone matches the Kinect with a price drop, but Microsoft should keep Kinect in there and just drop the price. Eventually sales of games will make up for that loss. The short term loss will be better than the losses from lack of console sales.

Keeping the Kinect makes the Xbox One more attractive at a lower price point and is the defining feature of the system. It's stupid to remove it.

Removing Kinect is a quick, but dirty option that might not even pan out.

Wow, it's really been more than a decade since the release of Ruby/Sapphire.

To Hades with digital downloads. Digital will only win if they reduce the price compared to physical discs. I don't see how anyone would buy a digital game at the same price while with the physical have the option of reselling.
