Buying both but the ps4 is most certainly going to be my backup system. Only 2 launch exclusives worth having and not having tv integration relegates it to a game only system.

You can't go off of that poll. Look at the difference in people from areas of the country that voted for Obama and ones that voted for Romney. The far west and the North East voted for Obama while Romney won the rest. Polling a specific group of people doesn't tell you the outcome of sales worldwide. I will be buying 2 PS4s at launch and I believe the PS4 to be the best choice.

1300 people is actually a pretty good sample size. All that matters is that the sample fairly represents the population.

I would not discredit that poll so soon. I think it is pretty spot on. Most gamers will not jump to the next-gen consoles simply because they don't have to. Most games will come out on our good old PS3s/360s so why bother? And the PS4 being slightly ahead is a consequence of MS's fantastic job of making a mess on their announcements.

'NSA box' pretty much sums up my feeling about the always-on mic and cam that is the Kinect. I'd figure a competitive industry like this would not allow for companies to be so wildly out of touch with public sentiment, but then again maybe M$ know exactly what they're doing. Perhaps they're not so much insensitive so much as DELIBERATELY targeting the silent majority with this one.
