people always said that the PS3 was more powerful than the 360, so why is the PS3 look so bad

They didnt totally max out the PC version though believe me.

Mmmm dat 60fps. To those who played FC3 on PC: Does this game have enough newness to justify a purchase?

The only difference was that the PC clips ran at a noticeably higher framerate. A big difference, but it should be bigger.

Ubisoft does not attempt to utilize the full potential of modern gaming PC's. That much is clear.

Ubisoft must really be scaling back the PC. Looks the same. Why spend hundreds on a new PC if game companies arent going to use it?

if the game is good I can enjoy it in any system, after a couple of hours one gets used to the graphics it becomes kind of redundant,then your r immerse in the gameplay/plot and thats why u keeps playing.

@Tbalestrini @aardjawad I agree with your everywhere except where you say you can max a game with less than 1k. Give me your specs via Newegg and then show me a screenshot of game specs. This may have been the case 5-7 years ago but not now. You can run a game with normal-high settings fine but not ultra settings with highest fxaa.

I have both a copy for Xbox One and the 360 and the 360 version looks absolutely terrible

I have the lenovo X700 erazer i just purchased so full graphics to the max!!!! this GAME IS LIKE PLAYING A MOVIE this video does no justice the graphics are getting real PC GAMING FOR life.

there is barely a difference with new consoles but the PC version has slightly better textures what's really different is the lighting on pc everything else is identical

The game looks great on ALL platforms. You can't even tell the difference. Be grateful for what you have and quit bitching.

Like someone else suggested in the comments we should show the comparison without any of the screenshots/video labeled which tells which platform is running at that time--it'll be fun to see what assumptions people make. Huehuehue.

Looks like poop on PC, 360 and PS3. Truth.

fact is PC will always be technologically ahead of consoles (all new tech is implemented on pc b4 any other system). The only tactic left for game companies to make profit off console sales is to deliberately downgrade PC version game fidelity to make consoles shine. or even dirtier sabatoge, delay or cancel pc releases of games after announcing explicitly about pc versions of the game. pathetic! game developers are getting dumber by the generation (along with the new generation of gamers) too lazy to deal with the variation of requirements on pc they simply consider consoles cheaper and easier to work on. but at the end of the day pc is the ultimate gamer platform!

Scroll to the bottom of the article and open the left and right image sets (PC left, PS4 right, ignore the PS3 shots in the middle) and tab between them. Don't use the on page "slider comparisons", they're too small. Those screenshots will show you how the PC has much higher detail foliage and crisp shadows, along with generally higher texture density overall. Add to that the higher framerate which makes everything play smoother, and negates how bad frame drops look when they occur.

Videos, especially on 60fps capable players, are great for comparing framerate and motion effects, but all videos on the web are compressed enough that you'll never see the texture differences properly, that's why you should check out screenshots.

Don't be mad PS4 fans, the game still looks great on PS4, but you don't need to make a big fuss or try denying that it's noticeably better on PC. The only people getting shafted are last gen players, it could have looked better for them.

@dlaney34 @aardjawad PC isn't even locked, with a powerful enough computer, or reduced settings (that consoles are using) it can go over 100fps.

And that's what this scrub aard can't see, how much nicer 60+ looks compared to 30. You can even see some of it in this video. He also has no idea what atmospheric effects are, with PC backgrounds being "washed out" but visibly more detailed, while the consoles versions are blurry and lacking the deliberate fog.

Five system comparison is too confusing. GameSpot and I want you to buy the "next" gen consoles. GS, go back to two systems or at most three, never five.

PS4 > XONE > PC > X360 > PS3. Look at the comparison at 3:02. PC is much faded than next gen consoles.

As expected it's PC > PS4 > Xbox One.

Really, it seems the only big graphical advantages to PC for this title are 60fps and better skyboxes. And the only difference between the current gen consoles is there is some more tearing on the One. So nothing too important.

I plan on getting it on PS4, but it looks great on all three platforms.

These Farcry 4 adverts are a little distracting. ANYWAY what kind of PC is running these games? Is Gamespot using that MONSTER PC to pull off those incredible frame rates? The fluidity of the frames is the most noticeable difference between PC vs PS4.
