However, importing the "aspects" from Fable 2.. if you want your son or daughter (that you're playing) to redeem the name and play good if you played an evil character in fable 2, I wonder if that's possible with the bad rep.
i would like more difficulty on this game, it should be as difficult as ninja gaiden, the other 2 games were just incredibly easy, i would love a more agressive ai, in fable 2 the enemy just stands there waiting for you to hit him, in fable 1 you only needed to get the shield and some mana pots i never got a scar on my char, the touching and all that is good but i would love a bigger challenge, focus more on the battle system not only in the interaction with sprites
There is a lot of criticism that goes around, even here, about how much hyping and then disappointing Peter Molyneux designs the games he does, but to me I think he is one of the smartest designer out there in all of media. Sure, he sells his product, that is his job, but he describes every aspect of what is important and revolutionary about the games he works on. Giving the consumer hype about the good things to come, not just the same old stuff you see in all other games. If it disappoints, fair enough, he is only human. Maybe Fabe 2 wasn't as good as 1, but it was still a bloody brilliant game and nobody can have successes again and again forever. There is a bar set, sometimes you achieve better, sometimes you don't, but then you need to think what you did wrong and try again next time, I truly believe that Fable 3 will be something to marvel over, and I think this will be a great contender in 2010 considering the stellar line-up of games on the horizon. I hope this is great, sounds great and I am sure Peter will deliver, I have faith in you man. Thanks. ~gamerjohn07~
@IceQBkid Are you mentally challenged? Molyneux is creative director for Lionhead, A MICROSOFT game developer. Why would Microsoft want to promote ps3? Also, Fable HAS NEVER BEEN ON PS. Get your facts straight before you complain.
I liked Fable and fable 2 But the ending of the second 1 sucked pretty bad. Also the removal of armor was stupid.. even if it didnt make sense.. I got sick of just dumb clothing :P
I think Fable II was AMAZING! The ONLY problem that I had with the game was that it is WAY to short. I just hope Fable III is a lot longer than II was.
what makes him such a legend? hes a selfish prick that doesnt care about the people that do not own an xbox360! why has he moved from fable 1 on pc,xbox,ps to fable 2 just on xbox and ps and then hes doin fable 3 just on the xbox? just a big scam tease tease and tease some more in some subtle scam to get more people to stick with xbox instead of ps3 or pc...
Wow, a lot of people like to hate on Peter Molyneux. Sure, he's made a lot of promises that he hasn't delivered on in the previous games, but I just take whatever he says with a grain of salt and accept it as being part of what makes him do what he does so well. He's passionate about what he does, which is more than can be said for most developers. And while I'll acknowledge the fact that the previous Fable games weren't everything he promised, they were by no measure bad games. I've had a lot of fun with both, regardless of Peter's broken promises, and I'll be getting Fable III. Who else thinks that Fable III will work with Project Natal?
At least he's not trying to hype the game up to be so immersible that you can watch the grass grow right in front of your very eyes! O_O But I digress. Fable 3 needs to be even 2/3 as good as what he hyped Fable 1 and 2 to be, before I even give this one a chance. His fault, not mine.
This guy is better in taking about game theory then actually developing an immerse game experience. Before i played Fable II, i thought it would be a tremendous improvement over Fable I, what with all the promises made and ideas described by Molyneux. And what a letdown the game turned out to be... No, Peter, you can talk all you want, i'm done with Fable.
i got very sad with this game since i expected it would be a very Long story and better than the first. i have to admit. i would rather play the first one with the expansion than fable 2. i will play fable 3 and hopefully this will be Much better. if not my days are over in the fable series
about time u actually be the ruler of the kingdom getting tired of games when u reach the top u just do NOTHING!!! cant wait hope it is put together well.
I was so let down by Fable 2. It didn't meet my expectations at all. It has some nice features, but it lacks the feel, and the feel is most important, which is why I loved the first game.
Molyneux is definitely a salesman and he knows what he's doing. Still both games are thoroughly entertaining though flawed. Fable 1 was good but not everything we expected. Fable 2 took the strengths of the first game and built upon them to an impressive degree. Of course it is also very glitchy. So here's hoping that the same progression we saw from 1 to 2 will be evident when we play 3. I'm intrigued by this decision element.
Although Fable 1 and Fable 2 both were great games Peter Molyneux is a master of hyping a game up. We get all excited about so many features that never actually get put into the game like he states. I just hope that Fable 3 isn't over hyped by him once again and then we get let down by what isn't in the game.
i thought fable 2 was amazing. i probably spent days on that game. hope this ones story is longer and they bring out a lot of dlc coz they only brought out 2 fable 2 downloads. cant wait
episodically? that means you have to buy the other episodes to advance, it better not still be $60 for the two episodes when a complete game costs that much. Importing 'aspects' of your Fable 2 character is pretty neat but who knows what 'aspects' will be uploaded. Seems like fun but could flop with having to buy new episodes, but it could allow them to release new episodes instead of expansions. It will be neat to be able to test the game first without having to buy it but I'm a Fable freak and will probably get it anyway lol.
Fable:TLC was one of the best games i have played in my life, and during Fable II i really lost faith in the series. You cannot die, there is no armour, and you can complete the game with your eyes closed. Hopefully Fable can reclaim its former glory with III.
I like the guy, but he always seems to have his head in the clouds and over hypes everything. I wasn't overly impressed with Fable 2 (especailly when compared to other RPGs) and am not particulary excited about the prospect of Fable 3.
