sentenced 83 it really depends on your style of playing. Since you are a mage I suggest trying a rougue archer, because they are rangers and you will feel at home with such a character
am a mage and i have merrill , alongside aveline and sometimes fenris and other verric !! on my next playthrough i dont know which is more interesting , rogue or warrior
Howy Kwap! I never knew that you can even get carver or make turn them into gray wardens or a mage from the Circle xD This sure has some decent replayability xD
@Neo_Sarevok there has been a bit of sickness going around the GS office last week. My original plan was to also start with how to build characters, but was too ill to properly voice it over. Also, the final rendering switched hands to Homer who wasn't aware that there were spoilers and didn't add the bumper to Today on the Spot. @Gelugon_baat The main goal of Tako10 Hawke the Mage was to make one ugly dude. Old man complexion with goofy anime hair and a dual colored beard. Plus unlike my Warrior, he was my only Hawke still at the start of Act 1.
I stare with disbelief at the visual appearance of Kurtis Seid's player character. Was he trying to create a face like Ogrim's? It's so close - yet so far off too.
@errolgevers That sounds great, i did use a makers sigh on Aveline and gave her some better talents than she originally had like stonewall as you mentioned. I will work on getting her those other talents and at least now I know what im doing with her lol. Thanks for your help and guidance to building a better tank, appreciatte it.
@KoolzKatz I have got turn the blade at max, stonewall, resilience, adamant, elemental aegis and resolute, a few weapon and shiel abilities, pummel for spell interups for mages etc. taunt and bravery maxed out for a little bit more damage. Combine that with the arcane shield and you'll last pretty long in combat! And of course shield defense, perception and safegaurd for boss battles, dont turn this on for regular enemies.
@errolgevers @AnonYC Thanks for the advice guys. I do have the black emporium DLC and I thought arcane shield was only for the mage, i know u can have a barrier on your allies. errolgevers, What are some of the talents you have on your tank?
@KoolzKatz MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS... I've made my main a tank. If you have access to the Black Emporium you can buy a drink calles 'makers sight' that will allow you to respec your attributes and abbilities. That way I've made my main character into a damage dealing tank. With all my buffs and arcane shield from my mage, I'm taking very little damage, am capable of some good crowd controll and deal a pretty ammount of damage too. Won the duel with the arishok as a tank ;) Hope this helps you a bit
@KoolzKatz Aveline is probably one of the best tanks in the game. I would suggest 2 CONs and 1 STR per level. WILLs can't hurt every now and then. Also she has access to all sorts of abilities that gives her resistance to damage (i.e Defender and Guardian skill tree). Perhaps your rouge and mage isn't doing the supporting they need to.
thats one hideous Hawke lol. Im loving the game right now but can anyone tell me how to build a proper tank, Aveline sucks because I have no clue what Im doing. Rogue and Mage im good with but my tank sucks, any tips for that?
Uhh yea... lol there are way too many spoilers in this... and I'm at the end of act II even. Isabella getting captured? Isabella leaving your party (then later returning)? The Qun going ape s***? Need I say more? Instead, I would have liked to have seen general tips, possibly including who the best allies are, best spells, best items, enemy AI exploits, saving money, or about 98% of anything else this video doesn't mention.
