How is this any different from Spartan Ops in Halo 4? You join up with others and shoot stuff....
The gameplay is Halo all over again. I'm actually dissapointed with this footage. And the graphhics, is that PS3 because it does not look any more realistic than this gen....
@asapp7 agreed! I like this a bit more than Borderlands. I like the depth and lore and whatnot they have goin on here in Destiny. I don't know if Borderlands woulda had enough for MMO kinda thing that Destiny is doing. Stoked and hoping for PC!
Why is everyone after PS4? I saw both conferences and nothing really stood out for the PS4 but a few games. However the Xbox One and its media capabilities look more like the technology we should be getting accross all consoles these days. If I wanted to just play games i'd stick to my ps3/xbox 360. I like the idea of instant channel changing, and being able to go from movies to games to tv to the net instantly. And to top it off if im playing a game someone can call me on skype and its right there on my screen. One console to do all that well thats my $$ well spent.
@thanatos313 @Noonewarrior The Xbox has the PS4 trumped in every way unless you don't have an internet connection.
- Better line up of 1st year exclusives
- Better controller with new rumble trigger
- Matchmaking has become an XBL feature and is no longer in the hands of the developer ensuring a smooth and consistent experience across the platform. Did the same thing with voice chat back in 2006 and it worked out pretty well for them
- An improved Kinect that comes with ever box that actually looks like it could be useful (now that the PSeye isn't bundled with the box it will be a dead peripheral in 6 months)
- can share your game library with 10 other people no matter where they live (don't know why more people don't make a bigger deal about this) http://arstechnica.com/gaming/...
What does the PS4 have? Remote play maybe if I buy a Vita? and will that work outside of my house? I seriously doubt it.
@xxYetterxx @thanatos313 @Noonewarrior i don't really care that much for the controllers, what bothers me is that Microsoft does not care for there customers anymore i don't want to have to connect to live everyday just to play a game, i don't want to have to pay more for Xbox live and its games, they are saying it is going to be 70 now for games and live. And then you look at how are people in the army that are not allowed to connect to the internet for months how are they going to play there new system, that's just it they cant. and i don't want the kinect at all, because it never turns off it is always listening and watching you., i dont want microsft knowing what i am doing when i am not playing there xbox, it is just known of there business, and i can also see there being some law suits against them. i also buy used games all the time i cant let my friends use my games at all, and you have to buy a new copy of the game for every profile you have on your Xbox. and Microsoft claims this is to stop pirating, but do you have any idea how badly that system is going to get hacked, and you never will be able to stop pirating it is impossible, people will find ways. all i am saying is if Microsoft does not change there ways, the new Xbox will fail, and i think everyone will agree with me.
@Redrivar @Splincir @onewiseguy he's talking about the shared library for the x1. Not the scam you are pulling on your PS3. We can do that on the 360 too but it is pretty illegal. With the Xbox one it is a feature that is supported
@Splincir @onewiseguy yep, my friends and I will only buy 1 copy of a game between us in digital form and all of us can play it on PS3- I'd be a damn fool to give that up for some TV options that I can get by using my remote.
@onewiseguy notice how he still left out the library sharing. Everyone seems to just pretend that that option doesn't exist. Two people playing a game you own at the same time regardless of location on two different boxes. You can do that with ten people. This removes the need to borrow out a disk. Maybe Im a loner but who shares games with more than ten people?
The better line up of 1st year exclusives is just an opinion lol. In my opinion, the PS4 has a better line up of 1st year exclusives. The PlayStation eye can be bought with the PS4 and still be less than the Xbox one, and more than likely, there will be versions of the PS4 bundled with the PSeye for people who might want it. We get cross game chat now, (and yes, i know xbox has had that), and the ps4 controller is better to me, and that's just because of what is comfortable to me. So for me, The PS4 has trumped the xbox.
@Noonewarrior Most people buy a console because they want a console. For gaming. Not some all-in-one multimedia entertainment system.
Microsoft has already fucked themselves in the ass with their new console, blocking used games, forcing you to be always online etc etc. So many BAD decisions.
Just a quick question I don't know if I saw it in the demo but are the playable characters in destiny able to jump. All I saw in the demos, the characters were all grounded. Im the sort of FPS that likes to jump arround alot lol and not being able to jump in a FPS specially in an open world one would kinda suck.
@Noonewarrior Take a look again man, the guy playing only jumps once, but in the public event you can see all the other players jumping plenty, a couple seemed to have a jetpack-like boost as well
For everyone crying out for PC support. I'm sorry but a simple google search will squash your dreams. The best we can hope for now, and beg for, is mouse/keyboard support on the PS4. It is up to the developer to include it as its been previously said by Sony.
@4-Legged-Shark @SSDD87 Here are the facts, make you're own assumptions.
"We haven't said yes, and we haven't said no," developer says about bringing shared-world shooter to PC; "complexities" hurting possibility of save files transferring across platforms.
PC version was previously noted on Destiny's website and was subsequently removed.
When asked why there might not be a PC version, Jason Jones stated, "We did a bunch of ambitious things on Halo deliberately to reach out to people. We limited players to two weapons, we gave them recharging health, we automatically saved and restored the game -- almost heretical things to first-person shooters at the time. We made the game run without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they used to play them before Halo 'cause nobody wants to."
Yeah pretty good looking stuff. I'm getting kinda hyped about this one. Not buying it on a console though so I hope the PC version isn't too far behind. Sony/MS just want to use it to push hardware sales, but a 6 month delay I can live with. PC version will be superior anyhow.
Clutters95 I'll be spoilering so don't read if you don't want to know few things.Yeah it will have story mod that will take you across the solar system and online work as grouping with friends as fireteams and you can do story missions, exploring, events and more together or alone.Ofcourse there is much more, but this should do for now.If you want to know more then say.

really want to know how the storyline works. I was a big fan of the first 3 halos and they had great story cutscenes and scripts. Cant wait to see how it works here.
