Resistance54 Hm, I experienced it more like: Darksiders > Dante's Inferno ripoff. Because some time ago I played the Demos of those two, and I felt Darksiders was just the inferior version of Dante's Inferno. And then I also just plainly don't like God of War. That I like Dante's Inferno is also an exception.
Well, you could be, sceptical and say the controls and the button/action timed sequences and incredibly useless 16ft tall enemies make this game a piece of balls, but I'll never own it, so I guess I can't...
Regardless of how the game is reviewed, in my books, this game would be a keeper. As for the combat system, its been like that since DMC (4yrs before GOW) and so what if its in GOW so what if Darksiders is a mesh of lots of games like PoPersia, Maximo, GOW and others. The main aspect is how the game is brought to the audience that wants it. If you don't want to settle for a rip off of what you consider a rip off, then by all means don't buy the game to talk crap about it and compare over and over of the common settings it has to GOW. I for one can't wait to play hell and run havoc in my wake and yes I am a girl and I kick ass in games!!!
Resistance54 how can you call Bayonetta a GOD OF war rip-off? Bayonetta is made in the same style and by the same guy who made Devil May Cry. The DMC series came 4 years before GOW. ie: GOW is a DMC/Bayonetta rip-off GOW is an action fighting game that incorporates button mashing combos, quicktime events, and puzzle solving. I wasn't aware that GOW invented any of those elements
god of war is another level, you can compare this with darksiders or bayonetta, but god of war is awesome, dantes can be like the stand by while we wait for GOW3
