Kind of has that Devil May Cry 4 feel to it... Just hope this game is a little more action packed, all I did in DMC 4 was walk around looking for a fight. Protagonist looks fairly rad, for a witch I guess.
Games like this always seem to do better in Japan but that isn't to say they don't have its following elsewhere. Too many people have their "favorites" and when a game comes along that attempts to do something similar (even if it is made by the same group) but with a new twist they automatically think it is going to suck. Hence, I keep my own reservations about it until i try it myself. In my opinion, no matter how many videos you watch, especially of this popular genre, it will never compare to actually trying the game out. Even though they are built around mashing buttons to make combos...they all have their own distinct feel and i'm sure it will be the same for this game. But looking at the video, the Graphics look above average at best (so far), gameplay looks to be just as fun as (and much a kin to) the other hack and slash's that it is following, but more so DMC and NG...not so much GOW. As for the videos and how horrible they are...well that just isn't the focus of these kinds of games. Devil May Cry's vids were atrocious and Ninja Gaiden's were worse. Let's just wait for a review, or better yet, try it ourselves before we start knocking it, shall we?
This trailer makes the game look like an ultra-cheesy combination between Ninja Gaiden II (stale, boring backgrounds and limited color pallete) and Devil May Cry (rediculously dumb characters, bad dialogue. excessive mid-air juggles) Why the hell am I fighting a flaming oriental dragon? And am I the only one who thought the cinematics looked absolutely terrible? I'm trying hard to like this game, being a fan of both the games it looks to rip off, but I am having a hard time getting excited after seeing that trailer.
*well savmasta* people realy like this game i se , and the guys who played dmc knows what to expect , you'r opinion is not realy obvivius , this game don't looks like it's 5 minus , it's atleast an 8 or 7.5
Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the Devil May Cry series, is directing this game. So obviously there will be some similarities. I'd say he found a formula that works, which is fantasy setting + awesome gameplay + cheesy dialogue x stylish cinematics = fantastic action game. And it seems to me that Bayonetta has all of these elements, and then some.
i have seen some pretty crazy games, but i uber loled when i saw this trailer. not gonna lie, if this game gets above a 5 in gonna be shocked. lets go fight a plane with a DRAGON! wooot
I don't really care, but I'm gonna say this because I want you feel stupid. Ethereal_ShoKai. You are stupid. Bayonetta (as squarejp) notified you is made, by the same people as Devil May Cry. I'm also curious as to why you have a raging hardon for Dante and not the sexy librarian? I'd rather play a game with a chick whose clothes disappear when you do bigger and better special moves than play as some white haired douchebag with a big sword.
Haha! Sega's failing attempt to copy off of Capcom's devil may cry series. Yes, logically you should put a witch who looks like a school librarian against a demon hybrid devil hunter who's games have extended his badassery to a near legendary class. I'm gonna have fun watching this fail against dmc XD
The ladies had their time with pretty boy Dante and now we get a hardcore sexy lady whose most powerful attacks cause her to lose clothing? You tryin' to compete with Tecmo, Sega?
why doe sit says 3D fighting? it does not look like that and everywhere else says: action.adv... I can assume that is a mistake, right? anyway... this game look pretty good :)
I'm getting the game for sure, but the way Bayonetta moves in actual gameplay -not cutscenes- is kinda stiff, just like Nero or Dante. I really hope they manage to change that a bit.
