The simple to learn controls and an addition of unlockable legends and fun features make this one of the most accessible baseball games for casual players available on the Playstation 1. I really enjoyed the fact that the innings and season mode can be reduced to more manageable numbers in case you don't want to spend hours/years playing a fake season of baseball. One of the most impressive features of this game is the incredible draft mode and the up to date roster. Performing well in a game allows you to unlock optional modes and other features like big heads and silly stuff like that and also great players from the past can also be accessed after hours of practice and play. The graphics and commentary are quite good but the fan visuals and throwing/catching sounds are underwhelming. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this game to hardcore baseball fans because the bating and pitching as well as the outfield controls are very simplified when compared to say MLB 2001. So if you have a Playstation and you are in the mode for a more casual baseball game I'd recommend this one. A warning though, this game takes up a lot of memory (7 blocks!) for season mode.
