Overall improvement but they forgot to bring the good things from the previous games which is disappointing.

User Rating: 7.5 | Tomb Raider: Underworld PC
Tomb Raider Underworld is a game that most of the action adventure fans will appreciate and the Tomb Raider fans will love. Crystal Dynamics has improved the graphics and the game looks gorgeous. The environments which Lara explores are detailed and varied. Some of the locals - a jungle, the Mediterranean sea, secret passage at her mansion, the Arctic sea, a ship, many caves, etc. The graphics and the design of the levels makes the game adds immersion to the game. Overall the puzzles are ok but there are some pretty unique which even a Prince of Persia fan like me would appreciate. Lara can do move stuff now like a "flying kick" (dunno how to describe it X_X) and she can kick foes and other stuff when she is close enough. The devs have added so many animations to the character and all her movements while climbing, running (I forgot to mention that Lara can sprint now), falling ^_^ and jumping feel very realistic. Lara interacts with the vegetation when she walks by or runs through it. Now she can walk jump, prince of persia style, but it's not as good as in the PoP games. I realised that you should mash the jump button to pass these wall jumping puzzles. Overall I enjoyed the all the puzzles, jumping and climbing. The combat hasn't been changed with the exception that you can kick the enemies now.

The story starts strong and stays that way till the end but at that point the ending is disappointing and left me confused and unsatisfied. Another weak point is that there are no bosses in the game. I thought they learned from Legend which had good bosses but…
The game brings back the same technical problems from the previous two games with a few improvements.

Overall the presentation and the graphics are excellent but the lack of bosses and proper ending crippled the game from supremacy. I feel like the game has improved but forgot to bring the good stuff from Legend.
The next time Crystal Dynamics should focus on making PC, PS3 and Xbox360 versions. That way they can make it a longer and a better game.
The game varies between 8-8.5. I'm a TR fan so I can forgive some on the problems because they did not bother me much in the previous games and in this one too. I hope the they can will look back and won't make the same mistakes in the next TR.
