Easily the best Tiger Woods console game - this revolutionized golf gaming with a ton of options, modifiers and fun.
One of the most overlooked parts of this game was the fact that you could make your own course. Not 100%, but you could pick and choose holes from carious courses, modify the rough, fairway, heck even the color of the grass. You could even draw your own logos or place your name/initials on the teeboxes, etc. Why the heck did they drop this going forward? This is what makes me wish I still had this game.
The gameplay, atlhough a bit easy, was perfect. The swing stick was a bit touchy, but the power boost mashing, the wind, the hard courses, this game just never got old. There was always something to do.
Sound and graphics made you feel like you were really walking the courses for the first time. And the gameplay was perfect for parties or playing with friends.
Somewhere along the way EA sports forgot how good this game was and took the game in a bit different direction.
If you want the best console golf game ever made - this is it. No question.
