Wicked Sexy Thing!
Being a big fan of the movie I was eager to enjoy this adaption, and thankfully it's been pulled off beautifully.
The game picks up where the movie finished, and quickly puts you in control of a small group of chumps sent to recover information and destroy any suspicious debris.
The game-play is swift, and after just a few minutes I'd pretty much grasped the control and on screen inventory.
The game eases you into the action slowly, after teasing you with a few bloody corpses, this helps build the tension brilliantly.
One of my favorite features, is the condition of your men and there ability to stay calm.
As situations become more unstable, your teams mental state will suffer, and you can visually see this in the body language and facial actions.
You probably notice one pansy of the group, the best method to calm him down is to hand him a gun.
I'll remember that tip when my girlfriend is moaning!! :)
This game deserves its praise, the graphics are beginning to show its age, but this is over-shadowed by the sheer depth and well structured story.
'The Thing' will sit proud amongst my ever increasing horror titles.
