A long long time ago, when LucasArts didn't think they needed intense 3D graphics and when the characters were irresistibly lovable, the Monkey Island series was born. For any of you who have not played the first two games and who think they look too old school, think again. They are game treasures, and not in that "oh my very first pong game" sort of way either. They have also been redone and are now available for download on I believe Wii and Xbox? This is the third installment in the series, and in my opinion, the best by far, even with the amazing new downloadable series that came out recently. I have played through this game at least 6 or 7 times and it never ever looses its charm and wit. This is the game that is THE game of memorable moments that you will never forget and also a good source for one liners. I could list my favorite parts of the game, but I don't want to spoil the magic for anyone. This game is beautifully drawn and has kept many of the same great voice actors along the way. It creates its completely own style of everything and I am never ceased to be amazed at what Guybrush is able to fit into his pockets. Guybrush Threepwood, voiced by Dominic Armato provides witty and random commentary throughout the game that just by itself would have made the game brilliant, but the list just keeps going on. Inside jokes are common in this series, but not in an annoying kind of way. They also make outside references to all sorts of things, especially other LucasArts games. I haven't met a single person who does not completely love this game and this series, so stop reading this and go out and buy this game, it's only a couple dollars on ebay, the best value of any game....period.
