A good effort to represent the movie in game form.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a decent AMIGA title and the makers of this game did a good job representing the movie's story and combining it with gameplay and the game's graphics were decent for their time too.

In this game, you'll always play as the T-800 and the game has 6 levels(not including the bonus stages). They include:-

A one on one battle with T-1000 at the shopping mall. You can use your gun to shoot the T-1000 from a distance(and the T-1000 can do the same thing to you). You and the T-1000 can block eachother's bullets. When you walk close to the T-1000,guns cannot be used and you and the T-1000 will have a melee style brawl and you can use technical moves and combos. You'll need to remove all of the T-1000's health to temporarily disable it.If you lose all of your health in this level or any level,it's game over and you don't have lives to replay sections after you die.

Truck pursuit. You'll be using the T-800 and riding a motorbike in the storm water drain and John Connor is on the motorbike with you and the t-1000 is chasing you in a truck. The T-1000 will try to ram your motorbike from behind and you'll need to ride the motorbike fast enough to avoid the truck but you'll need to dodge objects in your path.Everytime the motorbike is rammed by the truck,John loses health, everytime you crash the motorbike into an object, the T-800 loses health. You need to make it to a bridge where the truck will crash. It's also possible for John Connor and the t-800 to instantly die if they're completely run over from the truck or crash into the pillars that hold up the storm water drain bridge.

Battle at the hospital. It's similar to the melee style brawl at the shopping mall, except the T-1000 is stronger this time and has new powerful moves.

Shootout outside the Cyberdyne building.A side scrolling shooting segment where you'll move the t-800 from left to right and will need to shoot the policemen in your path and make it to the end of the level. The policemen will be shooting at you and everytime one of their bullets hit you it will deplete your health and their bullets travel in a weird curved angles at you.

Helicopter chase.Similar to the truck pursuit, except the T-1000 will be in a helicoper and shooting at the van that the T-800,John and Sarah are inside. Each time the van gets shoot,Sarah will lose health and if she loses all her health it's game over. You'll need to dodge the t-1000's gunfire, while dodging cars on the road(each time you hit a car,the t-800 will lose health)and you'll need to make it to a bridge where the helicopter will crash into.

Final battle at metal factory. It's another one on one melee battle that plays just like the ones at at the shopping mall and hospital.Except this time you'll have the opportunity to stop the T-1000 for good.

There is bonus stages in between certain levels that give you a chance to restore some of the t-800's health.Because you only have 1 life to beat the game with, you'll need to be as efficient as possible when you complete the levels, which means during the one on one brawls against the t-1000 you'll want to use the melee attacks that are effective against the T-1000 and you'll want to duck the T-1000's gunshots and you'll want to be as efficient as possible during the other levels.

The 2 bonus stages that let you restore some of your health are similar to puzzles and have a time limit.

It's been years since I've played this game, but I remember the graphics looked fairly good for their time.I remember the detail in the environments such as a softdrink machine in the shopping mall(just like the one you saw in the movie near where the t-800 and t-1000 had their battle in the movie). You'll see Cyberdyne signs outside of the cyberdyne building and brick walls and the hospital floor has checker color floors just like in the movie.

There's FMV sequences from the movie(such as when the T-800 and John escape on the motorbike as the truck explodes)and other scenes from the movie that are used for story scenes in the game.

The sound effects are about on par for what you would expect from games at it's time. The game sound effects sound suit what is happening in the game quite well.

Overall-The game was fun for it's time and it's short but if you want to beat the game you'll have to do it on one playthrough and it was fun to playthrough many times.
