Pretty decent, but could have been done better.

User Rating: 7 | Tekken (Platinum) PS
Tekken is one of the most popular fighting games out today and few are able to match it. There are about 7 games in the Tekken series I know of and naturally you would expect this to be an instant classic or something ground breaking but it isn't.

Gameplay,6. This is the part of the game that hinders it. You go through 9 stages fighting the game's different characters until the final stage where you fight Hehachi. Throughout the game there is always delays when you do an attack or try to get up. There isn't much of move set, but this game did come out before the Playstation was even around. Playing with a friend can be pretty fun.

Graphics,8. Being a remake from one or two years ago, the graphics aren't exactly that good, even for this early in the Playstation's lifetime, but they are still pretty good for an early 3D game.

Sound,7. The sound is pretty good. The music is pretty catchy, especially the city music. There is also another set of music you can use from the arcade version of the game.

Value,9. The game will definitley last you a while. Being able to play with a friend makes up for the limited arcade mode.

Difficulty,Hard. The game is definitely pretty hard. Even on the medium difficulty setting you can get stuck on Hehachi. This difficulty is caused mainly by the move delays.

Tilt,7. This is one of my older Playstation games, and I still like it despite some problems. However, if you want a good classic fighting game and are a Tekken fan, then I would recommend Tekken 2 or 3.
