so i went over to a friend and played this game in a versus for like 5 hours and what i saw was a very good game which was very badly ported over to the PS3, the game was made for an arcade stick control system and the whole pin-control thingy wasn't working out for me, i always use the pad in this kind of games for what feels like more precision to me. the game was good but the controls on the PS3 Controller was incredibly clunky and almost impossible to use for a beginner. (i just miss the days when PS1 was out and nobody used the stupid pin system for anything, it was worthless!) now its all pins this and pins that while i prefer to just use something that i can relate to arrow keys. its way easier to achieve precision with that and in most games using the pad on the controller is an option (say soul calibur or tekken or dead or alive) but in this game you can't play without using that god damn pin. and even if you get the hang of using the damn pin then the system is so messed up and the moves list says some mumbo jumbo nobody who is new to games like this would ever understand. and quite frankly the game is unplayable without combos and special moves and such. but the pins were way too sensitive in this game and it was impossible for me and hard for my friend to make it move the PRECISE right way so we could do a move.
This game would've been better off staying in an arcade platform than being ported over to PS3.
so just to point out the positive points of this game, regardless of the horrid controls then the characters in this game are most of them great, and look awesome and have kick ass moves (if you'll ever be able to do them which i doubt) and it has a big nice variety of maps, good storyline, everything a good game of this genre would need EXCEPT the control system =( bad controls drop the rating from 9 to 7,5 for me. but its just such an epic game how could i rate it any lower.
