Nice addition to the Nintendo/Mario family. An original game that should have launched with the console.
One of the perks is the return of Yoshi. Having skipped him in Super Mario 64 ( except the very end), I was glad they included him into the game.
Fludd is the machine that Mario must use to clean up the filth around Isle Delfino. For those who don't know the storyline, let me elaborate slightly. Mario is being framed by a mysterious character that looks nothng like him, save for the same shape. I mean come on, he is being framed by someone blue and transparent. However, it seems no one in the game can tell the difference. After going to trail Mario is sentenced to clean the island. And while that sounds boring, the game is very fun. Just like Mario 64 you can always play around on the many stages. You don't have to always complete missions. I mentioned the graphics earlier, but I didn't mention the environments. They are beautiful and rich with color. Everything you'd want in this type of free-roaming game. The water was amazing when I first played the game, but of course things dull over time ( I don't mean the actual game). The game has a lot of replay value just like Mario 64,though maybe not as much. Most could play Mario 64 now, but I couuldn't say the same for Sunshine in the coming years.
The game is great and if you like Mario and own a Gamecube it's a must buy.
