Silent Hill is back and it isn't the best but it's up there.
In Homecoming you play as Alex Shepherd, who was wounded in the army and was just released from the hospital and ends up in his hometown called Shepherd's Glen. Soon after arriving there you fin that a lot of people have gone missing along with your little brother named Josh.
The sound of the game is once again great with the music being fantastic as well as sound affects. That's always something from Silent Hill that's been great no matter what to me. Another thing I expected to be good was the games puzzles. They were ok but they seem like they were a little bit poorly done and could of been better than they was.
The gameplay as improved with the combat taking change to it, you having to acquire timing to dodge then counter your enemies. And if you don't learn how to do this then your going to find your self die some what quiet a few times. The new combat is great and a nice new experience to the game but at the same time it can be a little bit frustrating at the same time.
Overall Silent Hill: Homecoming is a good addition to the series although they could of did much better. I'm still waiting for one that's as good as Silent Hill 3 so hopefully with the next one they can do that. But I recommend this to any survival horror fans that have a current gen console.
