A good perspective on the nam war.

Being guerillas first game made in 2004, I must say that it is quite a good war shooter that doesn't base it on WW2 which I'm thankful for. The game uses a third person camera angle sort of like hitman but you can't pan the camera around the character. At times the game can really intense where the vietnamese are coming at you in numbers and you'll have to fend them off. There are various weapons to choose from but none really pack a punch except for the flamethrower which is quite fun to use. Unlike killzone which is guerillas second game, the enemies don't die in a crap way with their legs kicking all about. And it's not so glitchy, I didn't recognize any bugs technical issues the first time I played it.

Loading times are a bit slow but I quite like the music they use for the menu which you might have a different opinion on it depending on the music you like. Like killzone, the cutscenes are great and it really feels like you are in the vietnamese jungle. What's fun about shooting the enemies is that their limbs can blow off like say you shoot them in the leg then their leg could blow off and they fall to the ground. I even got myself blown up and my body parts went everywhere and the blown off limbs are really detailed with the blood. There is quite a bit of swearing in this game so be careful about picking this game up from the shelf you aren't such a fan of F-words in games.

It is a good game but I feel you should rent it first, try and beat it and see if you like it because this is the kind of game you can like or hate.
