I feel like you guys are missing the ball here. Rust has never been a purely survival oriented game. The core elements of rust are pvp and strategy. There has obviously been a misunderstanding on what kind of person this game is catered to. This game has performed all of the base functions of any other battle royale without becoming stale and repetitive. Its geared towards a competitive person/people who want a high stakes heart pumping experience. To be fair I only have 500 hours in this game. But in the time spent playing alone or with friends I have experienced things that I thought to be impossible in an online video game. I've never in my life played another video game in which I feel like the main character in a movie. There is something special about rust. It forces you to play differently every time and rewards those who are patient and careful. That said you cannot play rust for 30 hours and enjoy getting ripped apart by racist 12 year old's the entire time. There is a learning curve, But past the 100 hour mark the gates are open to explore the nuance of a game so different and unique that you could play it for 15k hours and still love it. I tried to not shit on the author that much, but this review is really unfair. Thankyou for your time. https://steamcommunity.com/id/BombBird/
