Rugby League 2. Although a step forward in the graphics detail department it lacks serious gameplay
Although the game is shiny and polished from the outside. the game itself lacks real depth and game play. there are countless flaws in the game play department. for example
when diving for a try. you will be held up over the line 3/5 times from opposition players 5 metres away. as well as players trying to recover the ball from a kick near the sideline they seem to "float" into touch without even realizing it.
The sound in the game is similar to its predecessor and still lacking any licensed songs apart from the intro movie's sound which is the "thats my team" song from the hoodoo gurus.
Overall the game is fun for awhile. and suits the role for a quick fix of some rugby league. but if you want a game of simulation qualities then you might just have to wait until its next installment.
