Is this game really apart of the Resident Evil series? What...

I haven't been too much of a fan of the Resident Evil games until a while ago when I started playing RE 3 and 4. These games, I thought, were fantastic. They had great gameplay, good storylines, and above all it kept you feeling like you were trying to survive by scrabbling about for ammo and weapons. As much as I wish I could say this for RE 5, I can't. If you really think about it, this game has almost none of those things. You almost never run out of ammo, the enemies are ridiculously easy, some of the levels are just tedious, and the bosses weaknesses are dead giveaways. I have thought about it, and have come up with a few pros and cons about this game.

Pros:

Graphics are fun to look at
Shooting zombies is always fun
Real weapon names unlike the other games
B.A. characters

Cons:

Bosses are too easy
Game is too easy
Not scary
Not suspenseful
Storyline; you can figure it out halfway through the game
Sheva can do as much damage as Chris by poking an enemy
Too many boring monologues
Fighting sometimes gets repetitive
Dialogue is kind of...tacky
Fan boys ruined this game
Co-op is completely ridiculous (especially on PS3; Sheva can't buy stuff)

If you really think about it, this game shouldn't be praised. Maybe if it was standalone, but not with this title. I mean really, why did they decide to give you a flamethrower when you are fighting a boss that is exclusively weak to fire? And a furnace? And you can tell that the weird chick with the mask that skulks around throughout the game is Jill at about the 3rd chapter.

Really, this game isn't bad, but for an RE game, I have to hate it.
