When Resident Evil remake first graced the Gamecube some time ago, it was truly a sign of the power of next-gen. It truly immersed gamers in a dark and morbid tale which some truly horrific yet addicting gameplay. Resident evil 0 follows in these footsteps with some additions of its own. Namely the buddy co-op system, this system works fairly well with character switching at the touch of a button, tension is broken when the 2 characters are together however under certain circumstances you will be seperated. These sections serve as a wonder excitement of desperation to get back to your partner and they work well and are placed sparringly to stop them from becoming stale. The gameplay/puzzles/graphics are all reminiscient of the Resident evil francise however the graphics deserve a special mention, especially the fantastic rain effects at the beginning of the game. Overall, i highly reccommend this game to all lovers of the survival horror genre. However if you couldn't find anything special with any of the other games in the series then you won't find much here either. An essential purchase for all Resident evil fans!
