Believe me when I say that this game is a MUST-HAVE for people who enjoy apocalyptic destruction in an open-world.
Graphics 10/10: I should first of all make a note that this game required a high-end machine to run at maximum settings with an average FPS. With that aside, the graphics of Prototype is something to behold. They have successfully succeeded in making an open-world based off of NYC with detailed environments, very well-made character models, and phenomenal-looking attacks/explosions that just make the game even more fun to corrupt with your powers. Now usually I want to give games with phenomenal graphics a 9/10 because I tend to always find spots where textures overlap, or in other times I find an awkward "smudge". But in Prototype, I really haven't found anything of this sort at all, so I have no choice but to give it a 10/10.
Gameplay/Fun-O-Meter 10/10: Now right here, I would be more than happy to do the impossible and give gameplay an 11/10 just because it's THAT kick-ass, but it just can't be done sadly. I usually never attempt to over-exaggerate a game with an extra star over the maximum limit, but can I really even begin to describe to you what I have experienced in this game in terms of gameplay? You can pick up vehicles and throw them anywhere you wish, you can climb buildings, you can freaking shapeshift into a variety of weapons, you can use your shapeshifting power to do crazy moves like shooting spikes underground and just murdering others, you can actually shoot other people with some guns that can be dropped from the enemy, (The shooting system is well-implemented by the way), you can actually upgrade your powers by collecting red orbs to be even MORE powerful, you can do SO MANY THINGS in this game that I swear you can find yourself entertained by the sheer chaos you can create for many hours before you come to senses and actually follow the plot in the game. The story of the game is very well-made to me, and fits appropriately with your chaotic demon. The main storyline consists of 31 missions in total, all of which should take you quite a while to complete (I spent probably 14 hours on it total). Either way, the gameplay gets a SOLID 10/10.
Sound/Music 10/10: I love when I see a massive explosion and it SOUNDS like an epic explosion, it just shows that time has been spent on the sound system of the game no doubt. The SFX in general is just awesome, I have yet to be dis-pleased by any yet. As for the music, to me it's epic. I have yet to be annoyed by the music tracks in this game, and with this both in mind for the music and SFX, I happily give it a 10/10 for both sounding awesome and appealing to my personal tastes.
Overall 10/10: I just can't describe anymore how awesome this game is, you'll just have to buy it and try it out for yourself. You will NOT be displeased if you're into this type of a game.
