I was going through my files last night and found this, which I meant to post a few months ago. Since I am still working on my Goodbye ER blog and my ER season finale blog, I thought that I would post this.
ER is a show which is very close to my heart. It was one of the very first shows which I began watching and fell in love with. With reports surfacing that Season 15 is to be the last ever season of ER, I have just one simply question: - Is this a blessing in disguise?
Granted ER has been great viewing over the years, but I think that over the past 2 years it has been going downhill. Season 14 had a very disappointing season finale. Ever since the amazing season finale of 21 guns, ER seems to be trying to top it but are unable to do so. This episode didn't pack any punches or even having a griping storyline. I was told that someone within the main cast would be leaving this episode and we would have to wait until the next season to find out if they survived (which kind of reminded me again of 21 guns). But as I waited and waited, the less I believed in the ER dream.
When the ending we were promised finally happened, I was left disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was still disappointed. But reports have said that we will find out who the fatality was when the show returns for (what has been reported to be), its final season in the fall. But come on how could anyone survive it and if by some miracle they did, they would be terribly burnt. But I guess only time will tell.
Overall I am still looking forward to season 15, but if the reports are true that it is the last one, maybe it is a blessing in disguise after the last few episodes.
