This is my first blog being posted on here and this is going to be some random opinions I have on videogames and the industry.
Xbox 360 Hardware- First let me say that I love my 360 it is one of my systems I play on constantly other than my PS2 and PC, but even though most of the RROD issues have been taken care of due to Microsoft taking care of the soldering issues, there are still other issues that need to be looked at such as the DVD reader issue, I had just replaced my 360 due to this issue. There is nothing more annoying than putting in a 360 game into your system and getting either a disc can't be read message or a put this game into an Xbox 360 console, why? Microsoft sure makes enough money by retail sales and business with school contracts to make a system that should have little hardware defects. The system is great other than that this issue but I hope that I do not have to replace the system again but just incase I got a replacement plan so that I do not have to pay to get it fixed.
Obsidian- This game company takes a lot of heat by gamers because of KOTOR 2 and NWN2 and despite its missing elements KOTOR 2 was a really good game and it had a lot of interesting mechanics such as the party influence system which made dialogue and plot elements a lot more interesting. NWN2 was a lot better than the first one, due to the party influence system such as in KOTOR 2, a 4 party member system which allowed for a more authentic D&D experience and the party members inventory could now be accessed unlike in the original NWN and different characters can be selected and controlled other than the first one, this made the game feel more like Baldur's Gate.
The main issue I see with the company is that their games ship with a lot of bugs and performance issues which makes it seem like the company has short deadlines or cannot complete the games by their deadline without rushing it but at least they patch the games to fix many of these issues.
This is all for now I may have more of these random opinions blogs, but I will have more in-depth blogs on games and personal blogs.
Thanks for reading and have a good one.
