Accessible. Intuitive. Something for everyone.

I also love it when5 different companies simultaneously come up with the exact same "new" gamemechanic and act as though their game will be the only one to contain this revolutionary feature.

I also just bought a DS (my first Nintendo handheld). I suggest looking at all the GS reviews for a start. You can sort them all by highest score. Read/Watch and decide from that. Don't neglect the GBA catalog, since this is also your first Nintendo handheld.

I recommend Mario+Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA) and Partners in TIme (DS). They go together well, as do the Yoshi's Island games for each platform.

Whatever you think of Sony adding motion sensing to the controller, remember that making this kind of functionality more mainstream helps the Wii appear as a less risky target for developers. This is a GOOD thing for BOTH companies; just like rumble was, way back when.

I'm going to say Harvest Moon: A wonderful life.

It's rare that a game can make you hungry, nauseous and sleepy all at once. This one filled the ticket nicely.
