[QUOTE="sj420"] it's... alright. i don't think it's worth $40 though.
the 'wow' factor wears off pretty quick. it's got a lot of potential, but poor physics and overal gameplay mechanics leaves you wanting more... and ripped off. it looks great in screenshots, but not in motion.
Dracunos
It's on XBox 360 and PS2. edit I know it's fricken on PC :p This is a PC Forum, that was granted. I said it's on console, which is a fact supplimental to the granted information :p
what
I think the game looks pretty good graphicswise in motion. Very cheesy over-the-top ish action movie style, especially when skydiving, guns blazing, auto-targetting (while skydiving it helps you target even on pc), blowing stuff up.
But yeah, I don't think it's a '40 dollar game', especially considering it's what.. a year old now? Feels like it.
But I like it. I appreciate very much uniqueness, and you can tell the creators of this game didn't do what a lot of people do, which is basically copy EXACTLY the 'FPS template' or 'GTA template', and write a new story, and throw it at you, and maybe add a single thing in it to pretend it's different. They built this game ground up as a pretty different experience and I like having had that experience. Might not be the amount of hours of fun that I'd consider worth 40 dollars of my money, but I personally appreciate a game like that enough to be okay with having paid for it, hard to explain I guess
Dracunos
the game does look good when you're flying or skydiving - it's got decent lighting effects. the missions were just so damn lame and when you add the clunky gameplay mechanics, it quickly becomes a chore to go through the game. the best part of the game is just messin around, and while skydiving/basejumping is pretty fun (esp w/ the grappling gun chain system), it gets old pretty fast. i'd say wait until it's like $20 and buy yourself a game w/ more value for the moment.
