As all to often happens I find myself yet again in the void between titles. Tis a dangerous place and I have been known to bleed off frustation as sarcasm which does not make me the best neighbor.
Not to say I have not played some good games of late (P3 FES comes to mind easily). Time however seems to be conspiring to make me suffer until the next good game come along which I am hoping is Mercenaries 2.
Oh well I needed a reason to update this thing anyways
Well its been a few months since my last blog posting and having finally made lvl 21 (seemed to take forever) and being in game withdrawl.... I thought I would update things here if only out of general frustation. Joined some actually active unions though watched some of my older ones slow to the point of death.
Looking forward to 3 new titles within the next few weeks. Blue Dragon, Persona 3 and .hack//G.U part 3, whereas Mass Effect was pushed back yet again... mutter. And Still having far to much fun arguing with Vista... who knows someday I might acutally win..
Tis time I think to take a stand and use a Blog as a force for good and justice (or just for ranting)
Did a recent PC upgrade to a nice system
All sounds good for a gaming machine yes? Well there is a downside. As many would have gathered with a new system comes the new OS. Windows Vista Home Premium... blah blah hiss. Endless nightmares. First the famous "backward compatible to WinXP/2000" well maybe it is but I can tell you for a fact that several of my games that were playable on my XP machine are no longer playable on Vista. Then there is the lack of hardware compatibility. The soundblaster is not truly supported by Vista or DivX 10, yet... well its a SB xtreme for gods sake. 7 month old laser jet printer lacks drivers so again no native support (can emulate in XP though). Then there is the issue with video scaling on a flat panel monitor.. there is none. Sigh. Maybe it will get better (doubt it could get worse) but patience I lack when it comes to things interfering with my gaming.
On a more upbeat note I finally broke down and bought a PS3. Mostly so I could play .hack//GU. Sweet machine. Looks good in sleek black and chrome (though I did not really need another space-heater) and unlike that PoS from Microsoft it is backwards compatible. Not only to PS2 but PS1.

Being a charter member I felt I should (and want to) share awareness of the Union. Friendly types and good stuff there.
Hmmmm got tired of GS telling me I had no life so I decided to start filling this area in.
Types of games. Mostly RPGs and a few Sims.
Currently looking to fill out my friends list a bit and mayhaps find some other friendly players to game with.
