I'm planning to build a new pc. I'm curious to see which components I can bring over. I need a new motherboard and CPU. I'm pretty sure the RAM is re-usable and the GPU is for sure compatible. But how about things like the PSU and the harddrive? What else can I, or cannot transfer over to my new computeR??

thanks in advanced.

depends on which type of games you play. I mostly played SC2, and I really recommend the Razer BlackWidow for the keyboard and Razer DeathAdder for the mouse. Both are really solid gears. Apparently SlayerS'BoxeR uses the DeathAdder as well, as seen in his recent GSL games.

I have 1 desktop and 2 laptops. My desktop's connection seems to be the slowest even though it's a wired cat6 cable connection to myrouter. My laptop's record speeds at around 15mps on speedtest.net, while my desktop is at 1.5mps. I know speedtest.net isn't 100% accurate but I can definitely tell the different, especially when I'm watching videos on YouTube (for example).

There doesn't seem to be any virus' on my desktop and the firewalls are off, is there anything that is contributing to the slow down??

My router is D-Link, so maybe there's some sort of configurations I have to do??

Thanks!!

But yeah, it's doesn't neccessarly have to be the new iSeries. Core 2 Duo is good as well. I just wanted to get the iSeries so it doesn't become obselete as quickly. I'm not even sure what the main differences are.

Hey, I just bought a Radeon HD 5760 yesterday. I tried running a couple of games, and I realized my processor isn't good enough. I bought my computer 5 years ago and it's still running pretty good. Anyway, what will I need to upgrade? Just more RAM and processor?

I've never upgraded a processor so I'm not sure how it's done. Can I just keep my current hard drive, video card and motherboard etc.? What i'm planning to do is get an i5 Quad Core and just throw that in. Is that enough, or what am I missing?

Thanks.

Think maybe its your connection??Shuraijuro

maybe it is. because when I load up the game, the intro/log in screen runs 100%, even with that flying dragon etc.
