What ER shares with DS3 is its excellent value—the AAA price tag buys you a AAA load of content, as well as, arguably, AAA quality. While there might be paid expansions down the road (DS3 had them, after all), what you get in ER is a complete package chock-full of complex and customizable fun stuff. The game is vast out of the box, and there's no nickel-and-diming for extra quests, areas, gear, or XP. It may not be perfect, but I never found myself thinking 'This should have cost less.'
