Ain't no such thing as free-to-play—much less mobile ftp.

The only truly open worlds I've ever seen were the ones in Elite : Dangerous, anyway...

I'd love to play a warrior, but without a Greatsword? I've never been a sword & board kinda person.

@mogan: Sure, but this isn't about what gamers want—it's about what the studio thinks they can sell them.

I actually enjoyed the combat in DA2. Now, if I could only remember what the story was... all I can recall is cringing a lot.

Nice, but I'll be saving up for that life-size Darth Vader statue sideshow sells.

What ER shares with DS3 is its excellent value—the AAA price tag buys you a AAA load of content, as well as, arguably, AAA quality. While there might be paid expansions down the road (DS3 had them, after all), what you get in ER is a complete package chock-full of complex and customizable fun stuff. The game is vast out of the box, and there's no nickel-and-diming for extra quests, areas, gear, or XP. It may not be perfect, but I never found myself thinking 'This should have cost less.'
