So much in so few words

3 Games have my attention right now- Batman : Arkham Asylum-- which is nothing short of amazing, Dawn of war 2, which is pure fun in an environment that just kills. in a literal good way. and Lotro, which I loved, I hated, and now I like it. School starts up again in exactly... 4 hours... wonderful, right? Right. well Here's to a good 2009, and may 2010 be equally as awesome (and I'm sure its going to be even better, by far... as far as I'm concerned, atleast.)

Thanksgiving Update-- Alba gu bra and all that follows

So It is now Thanksgiving Break. I have the rest of the week off from school to do whatever it is I deem necessary. Sound pretty sweet to me.

Today I had a great day~ got to hang out with a couple friends from church-- tons of fun. I'm up talking to Corrie as usual, and I told her about this blog dealio... and it got me thinking-- cause it was somewhat embarrassing haha :P but to me its a way to express myself...cause I'm a very quiet person most of the time and I need ways to do so.... at the same time, I'm a writer-- and this is what writers do: WRITE. lol.

So Here we are again, this sunday we should be decorating the church-- I'm excited to see how it will look! As well as the opportunity to see what church is like over the holidays (busy nooo doubt!)

Great times. We did well on our drama show and filmed an excellent movie at the playground last sunday. As well as ate A LOT of food. Was a very special time for all of us!

And on one final note: Prayer. God has answered my prayers like no tomorrow. Yesterday I prayed for some things that meant a lot to me, and today it was visibly noticeable how he had answered those prayers-- and I am forever grateful! I had such a great time today and learned a bunch I didn't know that I am glad to know now! As vague as that may be.... it was a wonderful experience. Prayer is Powerful-- use it! If you pray and mean it, good things will follow! Pray with an honest heart and good intention and I guarentee good things will happen.

The Power of the Playground

In Today's news, The scatter-minded party of my friends, Corrie and Kayla, and myself, have once again come to the realization that playgrounds are amazing places. For some of you, this may be a bit odd, but I speak the truth! As a young adult, I can say that playgrounds are magical places filled with fond memories and sheer excitement. The challenges they present are still ever present akin to when I myself was a young lad. But now, they are a bit easier due to my toned abilities that were not present in my younger years!

All the same, the playground is a challenge. To conquer such a place requires determination, skill, lemonade, and the iron will to show those toddlers out there who really belongs on the playground. Play big or Play at home as they say back in the hood.

So yes, it was quite an exciting day. This upcoming sunday we will perform our drama stuff at church, which is exciting and nerve racking all to once. It will be quite the day! After church we will go and enjoy a wonderous meal together in spirit of thanksgiving, and then from there, we, my friends and I, shall hit the playgrounds. The magical places I previously deemed as nothing less than stunning. From there, we may discover the adventures of Pete & Pete, and then come to a point of awesome nap time soon after.

Sounds like a truly spectacular day to me.

That's the one thing I am extremely glad to have learned in the past year or two.... Hanging out with people online while playing a game is fun and all, but nothing quite adds up to being with people you can connect with face-to-face. In my case, meeting other christians my age that are truly amazing people bewilders me, and for this I am forever grateful to God! He has blessed me with great friends that will undoubtedly keep me close to him for as long as I surround myself with like-minded people :)

Just when my life was going nowhere, everything turned around for the best-- for any adolenscence, it is important to know that you can always turn around and walk the straight and narrow... no matter how far down the wrong road you have traversed.

After many years of being alone, I feel like God has put purpose and company in my life. I am now more productive than ever before in my life because of this gift.

For now, thats it!

Sundaayyy

Was paintball day. I got to get up at 7 am, and go play paintball in puddles of muddy water all day. It was loads of fun but uh.... I got sick for two days afterwords. Which was lame, and I missed Church! I got back at around 6 so got to go to YMS at church and do the whole socializeing thing (which is always a joy).

All in all, I'm happy. Tomorrow I get to go to dinner with people I care about, thursday I get to practice a drama-thing with people I care about, then saturday same dealio, and the nsunday = church which ofcourse = yay!

haha.... thats the plan thus far.

18th Birthday!

Well, today is the big day... Halloween of 09, I turned 18 today.

What exactly does this mean?

That I'm responsible for myself now...great :P Once I get my license I'll be free as a bird, just about. lol... so until then, its time tos tart taking care of myself, because if theres one thing I know, its that no one else is gonna do it for me.

And here I am, Blogging on gamespot of all places. :P Good times, good times.

Saturday = Paintball

Today was a very brutal day of PB. (no, not peanut butter.. though it was involved... don't ask)

We drove to Gorham, Maine. Up at Field 51, we played quite the large game of a special Halloween themed Paintball standoff. We had three teams; the humans, the zombies, and the vampires. Naturally, we, the humans, won. (Superior teamwork/experience/communication)

All in all, it was fun; though it was my first time playing full time stealth instead of medium rifleman, so I took some nasty upclose hits... but got some stealthy kills in return. Learning to snipe and snipe accurately (or hand tag... which I did do) is difficult... but hey, thats paintball for ya.

A superb day to say the least... though I did slice my finger open at some point... didn't notice till i had a pool of blood dripping from my hand. (Blood cleans pretty well off of a paintball gun though, so no biggie)

So this weekend hmm.... Video games on friday night, paintball on Saturday, church/fund raiser on Sunday. and Then relaxation until monday.

Great weekend in my opinion.

Columbus Day List

As Columbus day comes to an end, I figured I'd come up with a list ( an opinionated list...lets not get technical here :P ) of complete and awesome games that are a definite must for action/difficulty junkies out there.

And don't worry... I made sure none of them are out of date enough to hurt your eyes with graphics from before I was born :)

High Difficulty = win... keep that in mind.

5) Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter: 2

This one is a bit of a stretch seeing as without the original its just not the same game. Either way, the missons are fun, the story is great, and its not too easy on realistic setting. As well, you have to be pretty determined to get a somewhat good rank online. Tons of hours of enjoyment here :)

4)Guitar Hero/Rockband/Rhythem Rocker games

Yeah, they're addicting... or annoying... depending on who you are. But here's the thing, if you've got friends, they make great party games (party as in a few people rocking out :D) or they're an awesome excuse to listen to music and play something a bit more solid than air guitar, but not quite as difficult as real guitat. (although real guitar is very awesome, but sometimes it takes too much time to learn solos that you jsut wanna crank out as if it was playable with 5 frets!)

Play it, enjoy it, and maybe find some new musical tastes.

3) Dawn of War II

For those who like to think strategy, customization, and all out brutality; here you are. This is my #1 war game. Period. The story, the game play, the everything. It's like learning how to tie your shoes for the first time; your amazed and can't wait to tell mommy.

Play it. Enjoy it. Bask in the combat.

2) Dead Space

Everyone likes a good scare? right? Well, I like to think so atleast. This game isn't exactly "pee yourself" scary, but turn out the lights, make sure its dark both out and in game (and ofcourse crank up that difficulty).

It'll scare you, it'll challenge you, and it'll leave you wanting more. For the ultimate in chaos, confusion, and extremities Play Dead Space.

1) Ninja Gaiden (Xbox)

Ah Ninja Gaiden, what a game. This epic introduces high flying aerials, intense difficulty until you get the hang of it, and ofcourse, all the positives that come with being a modern day super-Ninja. The game play is rough, the challenges are...well, challenging. Imagine Zelda for a more mature crowd. This is what you get (with a different take and ofcourse, lots of more intense combat and...well, creative bosses)

Play your way, play the ninja way.

Play Ninja Gaiden

That does it for my list, 5 great games, 5 different genres, endless fun.

Enjoy.

Ah, the return.

Hrm... revisiting Gamespot. Good memories of the place and the people here.

So anyway, its been a few years and I've grown up quite a bit. Video games are much lower on my list of priorities but I still enjoy them. Regardless, I'm trying to make it through my senior year of highschool right now (usually the easiest year, right? Well, not if you slack off the other three years it isn't... lol )

But Yeah, I was jsut going through some things I've written on here years ago and realized how very young I was, lol, it was definitely hm... enlightening to say the least.

Anyway, Not going to say much more other than Paintball rocks, I love going to church :), and uhh.... Oh yeah, learning how to play guitar for the epic win :) [2nd year, mostly self taught :) ]

See ya around Gamespot.8)
