I worked at Activision Blizzard for nearly 10 years and saw the slow creep of influence that Bobby had over all aspects of the company over that time.

A key point you need to understand about Bobby Kotick when you watch the interview:
He believes that all money made in the industry belongs to him, even money earned by other companies making hit games.

You can see a glimpse of this at 55:15 when he talks about the 150 million player churn of World of Warcraft over the game's life - he's just short of salivating over all the money that he could have made.

This is also apparent when Bobby talks about how he loves how to balance the reward and incentive structures in the organizations he runs/ran, where he's essentially describing how can he best manipulate his machine of disposable people that would maximize the amount of money he makes.

Bing Gordon also seems like a buffoon. Bobby probably knows this and likely agreed to this interview because he's hoping to soften his image.

These are the types of leaders that have ran the games industry for decades.
