A Gardevoir's End

Belle the Gardevoir walked along the sides of the beach at Petalburg City, letting the water pleasently and calmly flow on her feet. She silently wished to herself that her friends were there with her to enjoy this wonderful day.

It was stunningly gorgeous outside, she thought.

Her friends, Magnolia the Delcatty and Sora the Absol, were away with her trainer on another journey she was missing out on. She had been left with the nice day-care people in Mauville City, but she had ran away to the beach here in Petalburg, to watch the sunset.

It was her favorite place in the world.

Her trainer, Kristen, had captured her on the outskirts of Petalburg when she was still a young Ralts, and at the time then, she was adored by her.

But that was all over soon, when Kristen began to catch more Pokemon, Belle was forgotten. Of course, by then, she'd been trained enough to become the beautiful and elegant Gardevoir she was now, but...Belle still wished that she hadn't been abandoned by her trainer, like so many other Pokemon were.

Belle adored Kristen, like all Gardevoir do their trainers. Wether Kristen herself liked or disliked her, Belle always knew that no matter what the cost, she'd always protect her, even if it meant giving her life in exchange.

Belle felt a tear form in her eye at the thought of the past life that she loved.

She sat down on the edge of the water, and ran her hand through the sand.

"Perhaps it would be better, if I stayed here for the rest of my life..." she said.

Sora and Magnolia had told her before, that Kristen would never stop caring for her. And for a while, she believed them.

But not anymore.

Kristen went on to defeat the Hoenn League without her, and caught many legendary Pokemon without her. If she wasn't needed then, than surely she wouldn't be needed for anything else.

Belle looked up at the cliff high above her, and then looked down to where it met the sparkling sea.

Kristen wouldn't miss her if something were to...'happen', she decided.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Belle now stood at the top of the cliff, peering down to the ocean, waves crashing against the cliff's base.

She sighed as she thought back to when things were...how they were meant to be.

"How I wish, that for at least one day, Kristen would take me on an exciting adventure around the world, and we could be happy together." she said.

It had become dark outside, and the beautiful sun had been replaced with its lunar counterpart.

Belle sighed. Kristen, Sora, and Magnolia would be much better off without her.

She walked closer to the cliff, and stood on its edge.

Then she spoke.

"Kristen, I know not wether you can hear me, or otherwise...but, I love you, you were a mother to me..."

"Sora and Magnolia, my dearest friends, I know that you wouldn't have to worry about me and my emotions, if I no longer felt anything, for anyone, not even myself."

She raised her hand to her lips, and kissed it.

Using her psychic powers, she made the kiss into a purple aura.

She blew the kiss out towards the ocean, in the direction that her friends had left her.

"I hope it reaches you. May Arceus bless you with many treasures, and may you all find love one day."

Belle stepped closer to the edge of the cliff, and looked down.

The waves seemed to be calling to her.

She turned around, her back to the ocean, and whispered:

"I love you all. This is farewell..."

And she let herself fall backwards, toward the only thing that would ever embrace her.

This town was Belle's beginning.

And now...

It was also her end.
