I think it's obvious that multi-plat games look practically the same for 360 and PS3. Is that really a big surprise to anyone? We're in a day and age where quick port jobs are easier for developers than spending more time on a certain version of the game. You have to compare exclusives for this to really count, and even that's pretty hard to do since they're different games. For example, I thought Uncharted had a slight graphical advantage over Gears of War. It looks like Gamespot forgot to set PS3's RGB Full Range setting to Full for some of these comparisons too (any instance where PS3's graphics look more washed out than 360's). Overall I think discussions like this are a waste of time. I own all the current gen systems because each system offers their own unique titles. 360 usually gets my choice for multi-plat games though simply because of the added achievement system and active online community.
To the people that wanted a second analog stick: WAIT UNTIL PSP2. There is no way that a second analog stick would have worked on the redesign. Current games wouldn't have been able to use it and new games wouldn't be able to either because people with the current PSP hardware wouldn't be able to play the games (redesign means improve but don't add features that will make future games unplayable for early adopters). After seeing the side by side pictures it does look like it was significantly trimmed down (more than just flattening the curved areas on the back). That video output is a fantastic idea also. If Best Buy will let me use my product replacement plan to trade systems (my current one has 2 dead pixels, so I have a legit reason at least) I will probably get one of these. It sounds like the new units INCLUDE the component cables too, which is a huge plus.
Nice ideas for updates. I've always wanted a more efficient way to download large content, and the achievement tweak is great. Since I have maybe 3-4 friends on my Messenger buddy list, that specific part of the update won't really be useful and it'd be much better if they added AIM support instead (but of course M$ loves pushing their software on people, even when nobody uses it). Also, even if they add USB keyboard support, the keyboard controller add-on will be a lot more space efficient compared to a full sized USB keyboard, which will be nice in the end (plus, if you're using a wireless controller - no wires!).
