No, this isn't necessarily about Oblivion Remastered, although you can include it if you wish. I'm talking in general, which is the best remaster have you played?

My choice: Metroid Prime Remastered

Besides upgraded visuals (though the GCN classic still looks fine today), the game added dual stick support of a traditional FPS and even added the Wii versions motion controls (I didn't bother because screw the size of the joycons). The only disappointments are lack of credits to the GCN team (which Miyamoto, their most prolific dev, was part of as a producer) and the removal of the Fusion suit as the original game was released side-by-side with Metroid Fusion.

Runners up: A good chunk of Nightdive Studios remasters - For me, it's their work on Quake I + II, Doom + Doom II, Doom 64, and Star Wars: Dark Forces.

Darksiders is better as a dungeon crawler in vain of Gauntlet and Diablo than it is a Zelda clone, honestly.

So, stick to Tony Hawk remakes then, it seems. I remember when the first Skate came out and it put TH to shame. Now? Well...

Beverly Hills Cop I and II - The first beats the second, but MAN does the second one have a great joke at the ending shootout! Particularly when Judge Reinhold was readying the rocket launcher.
