Short answer: It's awful

Long answer: Due to it following to classics of Alien and Aliens it was a huge let-down to most of the movie going community. It lacked the scares, thrills and characters of the first two movies. Whilst on it's own it's an ok movie; when compared to it's predecessors it's downright shameful.
