The Palindrome

Hola All! How goes it? Are we all fine and dandy today? Let's have a little TV.com related blog for a change, shall we? If you glance over to the right you will notice that my total submission number is now a pretty palindrome: 10001. Yep, that's right, I broke that 10,000 mark & it is now official...I need to get out more. ;) For my efforts, I now have an extra little emblem:
The breakdown of my 10,001 subs: There have been a lot of duplicate guide fixing subs in there, lots of episodes of The Today Show and my numerous other "fixer-upper" guides - I'm a sucker for the fixer-uppers. ;) My subs have been spread across: 751 shows 1214 people My first sub was to Karri Turner on Feb 12, 2006 and my last was to The Today Show on Sep 9, 2008. My submission history contains 501 pages worth of subs. Exciting huh? ;):P
Submission Spree: A few of you know that I do lots of Duplicate Guide type work. My latest submission spree, however, is not directly dealing with Duplicate Guides. I've been trying to fix all those guides which only have the forename for a person and are often used for five or six different people (generally reality TV Shows whose official sites often only list first names in the cast lists). I've spent the last couple of days fixing up the cast lists for a couple of shows which had around 20 cast members between them who were listed under only their forename. I'm working my way through some more guides now and I'm determined to beat the problem of single name only guides. It takes a lot of investigation and beating my head against the wall, but it's really satisfying to know that I'm making sure the credits for those six people sharing one guide are split up correctly. Of course...I'm also finding duplicates as I do these fixes...I'll never escape them. ;)
TV.com problems: In other TV.com news, there are a lot of problems being experienced with the search functionality currently. There seem to be two main problems; The first being that some users are unable to search for anything at all in the main site search. The second problem being that users are unable to search for newly created IDs. TheOldBill has some great hints and tips in his most recent blog which may assist with people experiencing the new person search problems.
Anyway, I think I've bored you enough for today with my TV.com stuff, so hop along, visit other blogs! Enjoy your evening/night/morning wherever you are and whatever you are doing!
